🤩 We were excited to have Brenna back at the studio this past week setting choreography for some of our competition dancers! 💙🖤

💙🖤We are so excited to introduce our newest staff member, Ian Roman! He will be teaching our Ballet classes on Mondays. We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait for our dancers to learn from him! Please join us in giving Ian a big, warm welcome! 💕🩰

Ian began studying ballet when he was 13 years old. Due to his dedication he received a full scholarship to train under the direction of Merle Sepel at her studio Academy of Dance in Tustin, CA.

After a few months of training, Ian would audition for summer intensives, receiving scholarships to attend San Francisco Ballet School, Royal Ballet School, Anaheim Ballet School, Tulsa Ballet CDE for their summer intensive programs. He also auditioned and attended Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) for Classical and Contemporary Dance. Receiving training by Steven Hyde.

In late 2020, Ian would move on to train under the wing of Micheal and Kristine Houston. Studying from the Vaganova Syllabus. Upon High School graduation, Ian would become a student to train and study full time at San Francisco Ballet School, his main teacher being Pascal Molat. Ian then completed his initial ballet training as a trainee with Tulsa Ballet, led by Beatrice Sebelin.

Ian has performed roles in the classical ballet repertoire including soloist and principal roles in: The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, La Vivandire, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire.

As a Professional Ballet Dancer, Ian has done freelance work around Orange County, CA. Guesting with companies such as Repertory Ballet San Clemente, Festival Ballet Theatre, California Ballet, SoCal Ballet Scene, and Nouveau Chamber Ballet (Lois Ellyn’s Ballet Studio) receiving a scholarship to study with Sheree King year round. Ian is now a Company Artist with American Midwest Ballet for the upcoming season.
