Our Women United Community gathered for our bi-monthly fellowship, where the theme was Bible Tassel Creation. We laughed, connected, encouraged one another, and spent intentional time creating something beautiful together.

There's something so special about our community. Every gathering brings healing, hope, and sisterhood in ways that words can't fully describe. We leave each time a little lighter, a little stronger, and a little more reminded that we're never walking this journey alone.

We also centered our sister Monica Thacker-Duncan who retired from the Department of Defense after 42 beautiful years of service 💐

We also celebrated our July birthdays: Daisha Duncan Tasha Parks Whitney Monique 🎂👑

And yes—we created some absolutely beautiful Bible tassels! ✨📖

July is the month of "Obedience" - yesterday's meeting covered what that really looks like for us on a daily basis to be obedient, what actions it will take for us to be and stay in His will.

📖 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? - Luke 6:46

✨ At its core, obedience is an act of love.

✨We don't obey God to earn His love—we obey because we love Him and trust that His ways lead to life.

✨ Every "yes" to God shapes our character, strengthens our faith, and draws us deeper into the purpose He has designed for us.

💛 REMEMBER: Obedience is not about losing your life—it is about surrendering the life you planned so you can receive the life God prepared.

Congratulations on Your Retirement, Monica!

On June 26th I had the opportunity to join a room full of her colleagues, family and other friends, as we honored and celebrate 42 years of faithful service. What an incredible testimony of dedication, perseverance, and excellence!
Not only is she my mentor, a member of Women United Community, but she's been a voice of balance and reason in my life... I'm grateful to know and love her.

Monica Thacker-Duncan your life has reflected what it means to serve faithfully, knowing that every act of service is ultimately done unto the Lord. Your commitment has touched countless lives, and the seeds you've sown over the years will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.

As you enter this new season, may you embrace the rest, joy, and new purpose God has prepared for you. We pray that He blesses you with good health, abundant peace, precious moments with those you love, and the freedom to enjoy the harvest of your faithful labor.
