📝🏀 Alexis Gordon has signed with Mississippi University for Women

One thing that stands out with Kon Knueppel is how fast he plays without rushing.

He does not need the ball to stick.

He does not need 10 dribbles.

He does not need a flashy combo move every time he catches it.

In fact, one of the most impressive things about his game is how little he needs the ball to be effective.

Kon averaged less than 2 dribbles per touch.

He had the ball for less than 2.5 seconds per touch.

And he only possessed the ball about 7% of the time he was on the floor.

Yet he still averaged 18.5 points per game and earned 1st Team All-Rookie honors!

That should get everybody’s attention… coaches, players, and parents.

Because it proves you do not have to dominate the ball to impact the game.

You just have to be ready, make quick decisions, and know how to flow into the next action.

That is what makes Kon so effective.

He scans, catches, and immediately acts.

Shoot off the catch.
Attack in straight lines off the dribble.
Land on two feet and finish.

If nothing is there…
Pass, relocate, and immediately move into the next offensive action.

As school comes to a close my prayer for us all is that we Stand Strong and finish what we started!
Is it easier to finish strong when things are easy or hard?
*Have you ever been in a game where you were up big and then everything falls apart? Why? (Loose focus)
*Does that usually happen in a tough fought battle? Why?

What is more Rewarding? The hard fought battle or the cup cake win? Why?

I believe God gives us some cup cake wins to encourage us, cause sometimes we just need a boost right? Why would we need a boost?

I believe God gives us some tough wins and losses to help prepare us for the really big games? Why?

I believe God has us all in the race we are supposed to be in. Can we put ourselves in the wrong race???? How?
We may not like it, it may not feel
Comfortable, it may not look like it aligns up with what our plans are but I promise you God is trying to
Set you up for the big win.
