All our Congratulations to the Winners, the Best Conditions and every finisher of CEIS at Ride in the Pines: no doubt, it was a challenging endurance ride!!! We like technical rides and chose Cheraw, SC for its alternation of hard footing and deep sand; rolling hills trails and dirt roads; pine forest, ponds and open views! But what we didn't choose nor expected, is the weather: 86°F (30°C) followed by a thunder storm that forced the Ground Jury to stop the ride for 30’! Scared horses and riders on trails, torn tents, soaked teams and officials..but fortunately no accident No doubt, it was a real Endurance Ride!!
Congratulations to Alex Shampoe (1st CEI3* and BC), Meg Sleeper (2nd CEI3*), Shannon Thorndyke (3rd CEI3*), Hilda Donahue (4th CEI3*), Anna Maria Clarke (1st CEIYJ2*), Charlotte Williamson (2nd CEIYJ2* and BC), Uma Kraskin (3rd CEIYJ2*), Kelsey Russell (1st CEI1*), Anas Haddad (2nd CEI1*), Marcia Weilbach (3rd CEI1*), Sarah Marie Arthur (4th CEI1*), Avery Betz Conway (1st CEIYJ1* and BC), Aubrey Muthard (2nd CEIYJ1*) and Ansley Conway (3rd CEIYJ1*).
