Homeowners Deserve Transparency and Timeliness
As a dedicated member of the Bethel Commons community, it’s disheartening to observe the persistent lack of updated meeting information and outdated meeting minutes on our homeowner portal. This negligence by the Bethel Commons Board and Sentry Management not only hinders our right to be informed but also raises concerns about the transparency of our community’s governance.
Outdated Information: A Barrier to Engagement
The homeowner portal is our primary source of information for upcoming meetings and decisions that affect us all. Yet, the meeting minutes are several months behind, and information about upcoming meetings is conspicuously absent and most owners only find out about a meeting if they happen to see the small “board meeting tonight” sign near the clubhouse. This lapse in communication prevents homeowners from participating fully in the community and could be perceived as a deliberate attempt to reduce transparency.
Seeking Accountability
The most recent set of meeting minutes posted on the difficult to navigate Sentry portal (March 2024) stated the pool was good to open by Memorial Day weekend, The next notice of the pool (not) opening was a hasty email sent out at the end of the day (4:22PM) before the Memorial Day weekend that there was a hole in the pool liner/wall after it was implied the professionals had already cleared opening. Many other residents near the clubhouse report that the pool cover wasn't removed to begin getting it ready until Wednesday May 22nd raising the question that maybe pool maintenance/opening procedures slipped through the cracks. Was this a case of intentional secrecy or mere administrative oversight? While we hope for the latter, the continuous nature of these issues suggests a deeper problem. As homeowners who invest not just financially but emotionally in our community, we deserve better. We need clear, timely, and accurate information to be active, informed members of the community.
A Call for Immediate Action
We urge the Bethel Commons Board and Sentry Management to address these issues promptly. Update the homeowner portal with meeting minutes and ensure future meetings/Agendas are announced well in advance we would ask that upcoming meeting agendas be up by the 1st of the month as well as the minutes from the prior meeting on this date. Updating meeting minutes should be as easy as nearly everything is electronic now. Providing timely info on a meeting will help greatly in restoring community trust. We also ask that Sentry provide quick links to this information (Meeting Minutes, Upcoming events & Agendas) to spare our less tech savvy residents the pain of trying to search for it when it is there through the clunky Sentry interface. Our community’s trust depends on the board’s and management’s commitment to transparency and efficiency.

Let's Talk About Communication: The Recent Changes at Bethel Commons Part One
Hey neighbors,
We hope you're all doing well! We wanted to chat about something pretty important – good communication. Lately, we've had some big changes around here that have been a bit of a mess for many of us, and we think it's worth discussing.
As you might know, our management company, Case-Bowen, changed their name to Sentry. Along with this, they launched a new owner portal. Unfortunately, this switch wasn't handled well at all. A lot of us got locked out of the portal for months, and it was super frustrating.
The biggest issue? Sentry didn’t communicate with us properly about the changes. Unlike other communities who got plenty of door-to-door updates, mail notifications, and emails, we were left in the dark. This kind of proactive communication could’ve made a huge difference, helping us understand what was happening and what we needed to do.
Instead, many of us missed important updates and ended up facing late fees, which felt like it only benefited the management company. Emails and Calls to Sentry for many of us weren't returned leaving us feeling powerless. Meanwhile, other communities with different management companies had much smoother transitions because they were kept informed every step of the way.
This whole situation just shows how crucial good communication is. It builds trust, keeps things transparent, and helps everyone feel like part of the community. We believe we deserve better communication from Sentry and our board to avoid issues like this in the future.
Let's come together and make our voices heard. Share your experiences and ideas in the comments below. Together, we can push for the communication we need to keep Bethel Commons a great place to live.
Thanks for being such an awesome neighbors!

Dear Bethel Commons Underground Community,
It's time to speak up! 📣 We can no longer turn a blind eye to the lackadaisical approach to pool and clubhouse maintenance here at Bethel Commons. It's a glaring issue that's been simmering beneath the surface for far too long.
The state of our pool and clubhouse is simply unacceptable. from colapsing ceilings in the gym and pool opening delays, it's clear that maintenance has taken a backseat. But what's even more frustrating is the silence from the management company. Emails go unanswered, concerns unaddressed. It's like shouting into the void.
But enough is enough. We demand action. Our community deserves better.
First and foremost, let's talk about the pool. As adults, we work hard and deserve a place to unwind after a long day. That's why we're advocating for extended hours. The pool should be open to adults until 11 PM. It's not just about leisure; it's about creating a sense of community and relaxation for all residents.
And let's not forget about our kids. They deserve a safe and clean space to enjoy during the summer months. That's why we're proposing that the pool be open for them until 9 PM. It's a reasonable request that puts the needs of our families first.
But none of this matters if the maintenance issues persist. We need a HOA management company & staff that's responsive and proactive. It's time for them to step up and take responsibility for the upkeep of our amenities.
So, let's make our voices heard. Let's demand the quality of living that we deserve. Together, we can enact change and transform Bethel Commons into the vibrant community we know it can be.
