That’s a wrap on the 2026 APEX season. 🏁

We closed out the year at the APEX Finals with a pole, a win, and three more podium finishes — a strong finish to a season with a lot to be proud of.

But the results only tell part of the story.

This season brought plenty of highs, plenty of challenges, new faces joining the program, and a ton of growth from our drivers and team along the way. Every weekend gave us something to learn from and something to build on.

A huge thank you to every driver, family, mechanic, coach, partner, and supporter who was a part of our 2026 APEX season. It takes a lot of people putting in a lot of hours to make a season like this happen, and we appreciate everyone who played a part.

Proud of the progress, proud of the results, and even more excited about where we’re headed.

2026 APEX is in the books.

Disheartening UPDATE: We tried but the series is choosing to protect the sanctity of the official's live call over the objective truth (rule). They understand our frustration. What makes this especially frustrating is that the race director essentially admitted they ignored the literal text of the rulebook. They prioritized what they felt was "fair" for the other driver. In motorsports, consistency is everything. When officials start deciding which rules to enforce based on "spirit and intent," when it’s black and white in the rules, it makes the regulations feel completely useless. We just have to be okay never knowing what officials will do and when the rules actually apply? No one in this sport can appreciate or find it easy to respect that. We do have the right to feel this way.

On behalf of AJ who obliged to every rule (including this exact one and placed himself on the tail), the series failed him and we feel cheated on his behalf (which we believe). When a race director chooses to bend the rules because of an "edge case," they completely lose sight of what that looks like to a young driver. To AJ, the message is incredibly confusing and unfair. He followed the rules, did everything right, but the track still let the other driver get away with a violation that’s clear.

We’re proud of AJ and Dad for what they do together. Thankful of the people who have his back and speak up for what’s right. We aren’t tagging any of our tents, teams and people in this for a reason as this is OUR form of thoughts.

What’s next: We will find something and fundraise the s**t out of it so he can attend every major race next year because THIS is his passion. He may be your “Grassroot Racer” but he is a well respected, talented driver on any given track, at any level of racing. HE has proven that.

Officially. He’s your Apex Karting Finals Vice Champion. He worked his a** off all season and we’re so proud of him. No one can take that from him.

Respectfully, AJ Stoner should be your 206 Briggs Finals Champion and we will wait and see if the Series does the right thing. The kid who won ultimately broke a big rule passing several kids after the commitment cone getting his spot back at the start after scrubbing and spinning. We abide by the rules as the EXACT same thing happened to us in a prior heat and we started at the tail due to the commitment cone. Due to that, we got ourself in a fighting stance on the track ALL weekend because of that track placement and commitment cone rule. Just like a jump start or tramline penalty, it’s a rule that everyone knows is in place. Theres even a nice drawn out sheet showing it provided to all drivers. What’s on the line? $2,500 which would help AJ keep racing these races he should be at next year…and has earned to be at.

This race weekend was important. Racing this series was important. We are thankful for series like this who gives cash credits to these GRASSROOTS KIDS as prizes helps talented drivers like AJ to help fund future opportunities to help afford races to keep him going. This series is BUILT for kids just like AJ (and there are several of them) who don’t have deep pockets or big names. It’s actually the only reason he was able to afford & go and to Finals at Trackhouse. AJ won the Series Championship which earned him credits and a ticket for Finals.

Rules are rules and they are supposed to apply to EVERYONE. Completely ignoring it and handing the win to the driver who broke it destroys the integrity of the race and the rules that are in place for a reason.

AJ does a great job bringing the composure to the field but there’s a factor here to where he’s figuring out quick if he’s not the one pushing and he is leading, that composure is compromised as everyone wants to lead here and not return the same energy to AJ. Broadcasters said it best about AJ…”He’s all business”.
So I guess it’s time to battle.

A little bit frustrated today but P2 for Quali, Heat 1 and Heat 2. Taking everything learned from quali to both heats into tomorrow’s Pre Final and Final. AJ is one of the only new drivers here at this track but he’s adjusting and doing his thing. This track is……….different. 🫠

🧇 🥓 Thankfully, there’s a Waffle House close by because Dad plans to take him for bacon and waffles to get him in a better head space 😂

While AJ received his ticket to Apex Finals at Trackhouse, Mom and Elam will be staying back for a basketball tournament in Indiana for E! AJ will be headed out this evening after watching his brother play in his first EBL basketball game of the season and then headed straight for North Carolina to arrive just in time to roll out of the car for a full day of practice. 🫠

He will be under New Gen Motorsport tent for the weekend! AJ will be running the Coyote Motorsports chassis for 206 Junior powered by Lawson Speed Shop and on his HAASE for KA Junior powered by Allison Racing Engines.

New track…two classes…let’s go. Do you’re thing and have some fun while you’re at it 🤌🏼
