Hind-end engagement depends on the interaction of hind limbs + pelvis + back + saddle + rider. If a horse suddenly stops engaging, don’t simply push it harder-first consider whether pain, lameness, saddle fit, hoof balance, or another physical restriction could be contributing. wher have you noticed in your horse lately ?

My little cow pony really came through for me at the dressage show this last weekend! It has always been a goal of mine to understand the biomechanical differences between horses in different disciplines. It was amazing to be able to watch all of the higher level riders along with beginners all have a great time doing what they love!

Huge thanks to Tara Hynes with for helping me get my foot in the door in the English/Dressage world. I have already been able to meet so many amazing people as well as accomplish much more than expected in the ring and couldn’t be more grateful!

This gelding felt very restricted through his shoulders, especially around the scapula. I was able to help this guy gain so much mobility through his front end in a single massage session!
