We here at YHT Engineering do a bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing at the same time.

You'll Have That... its literally our name 😆

Marquis Mark phase 1 is complete!

The front tires hit the fenders when turning due to the wheel spacers which required the wheel openings to be massaged a bit.

It's been YEARS since I've done any metal work besides just rust repair so this was a fun test of my abilities.

I can't describe how perfect this thing is. These All Terrain K03s are so incredibly quiet. You can set the cruise at 80 and it's absolutely whisper quiet inside! 🤫

We will be taking this unit to volunteer at it's first rally event in a few weeks. The American Rally Association Overmountain Rally in Tennessee.

Can't wait!

A Marquis Mark update is in order I think. I haven't had alot of time outside of work and parental duties to spend in the shop. We've done alot in that time so get ready to play catch-up!

We got the front suspension completely replaced. Rear suspension assembled. Swapped in the 4.10s and 31 spline axles / limited slip. I got the wheel spacers installed, had the P71 wheels blasted and powdercoated and had the BFGoodrich Tires installed. The keen eyed among you can probably tell what the next modification will be..

Things don't always have to cost a fortune. Pic a part limited slip - cleaned in an Amazon ultrasonic tank. Measured clutch pack and had some shims made to get it back in spec (clutches still had plenty of material left). Now it's all back together and ready for its 4.10 gears to slip on and get the prerunner Mercury back on the road.

Get out in the garage and build something cool!

Life never gave us lemons.. we made them for ourselves.

Life gets busy sometimes and it's hard to get time to get out in the shop and work on things. In the last few weeks our hometown has gone through a flood that effected our home base. That being said however, spring has sprung and the water has gone down and we're back to it.

We finished up the long shock upgrade on the back of the grand marquis.. working on replacing every component in the front suspension, picked up some 17inch p71 wheels. Aaannnnnd then ADHD took over and now it's getting 4.10 gears as well! This thing is going to be rad. Marty tune incoming.

It's not always racecars that we work on.. like the bio says.. we do a bit of everything

This is what happens to your valves when you're out there granny 👵 shifting and not double clutchin like you should...

When we're not building racecars we try to volunteer so that the racing can go smooth for everyone. Here's a sneaky photo from service park at the Rally in the 100 acre wood. Pooh Bear declined to be in the photo.

The weirdest things follow me home..

This was the beginning of the YHT Engineering mini project. This 05 CrV 5 speed was a road commissioners car in Virginia and had 400k+ miles on it. As evidence by the paint and general condition of it you can tell its final hours on this earth were pretty epic.

The goal with this project is to have revision 1 of the awd mini cooper cost 0 dollars (except for safety equipment). To accomplish this I'm cleaning and selling each usable and unused part from each car and keeping a spreadsheet documenting it all... Engineer is in the name after all.

Follow along as we build what we hope to be the cheapest track car ever.
