Happy Work for it Wednesday!!!! It’s amazing all the wonderful information that is continually being discovered about the positive impact working out on a regular basis and living a healthier lifestyle can have on a person!! One of my favorite tidbits is how more and more research is showing that you can actually SLOW the again process!! So so cool!! The more often you move your body, the longer you will be able to move your body!! Here’s a fun little tool that will tell you your body’s age based on a few factors. Obviously a test with more variables taken into consideration would be even more accurate, but this at least gives you a basic picture. I think my results are a SMIDGE under calculated, but you get the idea! Don’t know where to start with getting on a healthier track? Just start!! Pick something small and maintainable and go from there!! And if I can help in any way, just holler!!! Now go rock the day!!

Marvelous Monday!!! Do you struggle with Mondays? Find a way to start your day that makes you look forward to it!! Sunday Funday was awesome yesterday, I loved every moment and every person I got to spend time with. Makes it hard to not have a touch of Monday blues… BUT, I LOVE Monday spin class!!!! The music, the people, the workout…sets the tone for the week!!! Makes Motivation Monday a marvelous day to have a marvelous Monday!!!! How are you setting yourself up to have a great week?
Shoutout to Melissa Henry Wendt for not only showing up and trying, but also kicking butt and maybe even saying(drumroll please), “It was fun!” Loved every minute of training this morning🥰🥰

Happy Hump Day!!! Anyone out there ever experience self doubt?🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ Like that deep feeling that you’re either not worth it or you maybe don’t deserve that dream you have or that maybe things are “good enough”? Guess what, believe that you do deserve it and you can work anything into existence, so make the wish and work it to be true!! I believe very deeply that your physical health is the best place to start. So many good things happen when you workout, like literally scientifically proven things. Working out is the most undersold anti-depressant and underrated stress manager and mood booster out there!! It’s not as easy as some of the other methods that are available, but sure as hell is healthier and more life-giving than the alternative! I still struggle BIG TIME with self confidence and self worth, but every time I move some mass beyond my own, I become a little more sure of myself. You can, too!!
This morning, I got to see some pretty amazing humans kick butt in one of my favorite classes, Spin/TRX/Kettlebell circuit. We did tabatas, we moved some mass, we kicked some a😳😳!! I am going to go out on a limb(not really) and dare to say everyone felt better having done it. Progress was made. Moods were boosted. Hump day was conquered with tenacity and I know they’ll all sail through the rest of their day AND the rest of their week! I hope you all did something or do something today to set you up for a successful second half to the week!!

There’s nothing quite like a Saturday, Let’s Go!!! This Saturday’s featured station of our monthly rotation is the farmer’s carry and burpee to sprinter start.🤩🤩
Farmer’s carries are one of the most functional exercises that can be done. How many times a day do we all have to get from point a to point b while carrying something?? A LOT!! When performing, focus on posture both when lifting the load with your legs(think butt down, sternum up, push firmly throughout entire foot as you stand up with an engaged core) and while walking(think smooth shoulders, ears over shoulders, shoulders over hips, hips over knees, knees over ankles). Walk out and back while focusing on maintaining good posture, an engaged core and picking up your feet.
The burpee to sprinter start is simple…fall down, get back up and run!!! Ok, ok, ok, there is some technique, especially on the fall down part. You want to use your legs first to squat and lower yourself, put your hands down at about shoulder width and “root down” throughout your entire hand, carefully jump your feet back, lower yourself by drawing your elbows and upper in close to your torso, get a big breath of air and push away from the floor as your jump your feet through and explosively jump up! Yay!! You did it!

I love it when my personal workouts cause inspiration for my small group workout!!! My small group may beg to differ, but I am in this business to help people become healthier, stronger versions of themselves, not make friends😁😁 THOUGH all the awesome friends I have made is worth more than anything money could EVER buy!!!! What could I be planning???? See the comments to find out!! And always remember, burpees are a perfect example of no matter how many times you fall down, ya gotta keep getting up!!!

I was challenged to create a sweaty summer🌞 playlist... and here is the result! Let me tell you: it worked! 🥵And also, everyone was so lucky to get to hear me geek out over "Summer Loving" from Grease! 🎤
