Lake Erie Warhawks '09

Our 3 year run is over. As we wrapped up the All-Sanctioned World Series in Columbus finishing in the top 32 out of 180 teams, we have officially played in our last tournament together as a team.

Today was a day filled with many emotions. It was definitely sad we shared a dugout for the last time, but as we reflect back on this season with these girls, we can’t help but think about how proud we are of our girls. We challenged them with a very tough schedule this season and the way they competed weekend after weekend and how they progressively got better and better each week is a testament to their desire to play for one another as softball sisters do.

To our parents (and grandparents)…you all rock! Thank you for putting your trust into Coach Kristy, Coach Ali, and I. I personally had just as much fun with you all at team dinners and in the hotel lobbies shooting the breeze after long days, as I did coaching. Having very positive and supportive parents made being a coach much easier. I know all teams don’t have parents like the ones we do. Thanks again!

To Coach Kristy and Coach Ali…what a fun ride it has been! I can now say I have two sisters for life! Thank you for your collaboration and partnership. We made a great team!!! I will definitely miss our daily text message chains plotting out our strategy and whatever else we had to discuss. Thank God Verizon doesn’t charge us by the text message!

Best of luck to all of our girls as they embark upon a new journey. Can’t wait to see all the successes that will come your way! I hope these last three years have provided you the same type of long-lasting memories it has provided me! Love you all!

Just a typical Thursday night for our girls. Pink limo, Ruth’s Chris in downtown C-Bus! That‘s how we roll in our last weekend together. Love these girls and families!

As our good friend Taylor Swift would say, “Long Live” these softball sisters as we lace up our cleats one last time together at the All-Sanctioned World Series in Columbus. A rare Sunday day off provided an opportunity for a little team building at Cedar Point! Girls had fun in the sun and rumor on the street was they rode Snake River Falls 9 times in a row!

Little late on getting this out but we are at Fire In The Sky this weekend. Went 1-1 today and battled while only having 8 players our second game in our sole loss. Thankfully, will be back at full strength tomorrow.
