🎄 CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY AT BIKES FOR ALL PEOPLE! 🚲

We’re giving away 60+ kids’ bikes, ranging from 12” to 24”, and we want to make sure they get into the hands of families who need them! ❤️

If you know a family who could benefit from a free bicycle for their child, send them our way. We’d be happy to help get more kids riding!

Here’s how it works:
🚲 Choose a bike that fits your child
📝 We’ll collect some basic information from the parent and child
🚦 Take a FREE 30-minute bike safety education course to learn how to ride safely on the road
⛑️ Receive a FREE helmet, bike lock, and light set for completing the course!

We want every kid to have the opportunity to ride while making sure families have the knowledge and equipment to ride safely. Help us spread the word to anyone who could use a bike this holiday season!

📍 Bikes For All People
934 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH
Open Tuesday–Saturday, 12–5 PM

Share this post and help us get these bikes to the kids who need them most! 💜

🚲💜 Big things happening at Bikes For All People!

Our Executive Director, West, is taking his League Cycling Instructor (LCI) course this Friday and Saturday, October 9–10! 🎉

This training is an important step toward making cycling safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for everyone in our community. The LCI course focuses on teaching people how to ride safely, understand the rules of the road, build confidence on a bike, and develop skills for everyday cycling.

For B4AP, this means growing our ability to provide bicycle education, support community rides, teach safe riding practices, and help more people feel confident getting around on two wheels. 🚴🏾‍♂️

📢 SHOP CLOSURE NOTICE: We will be closed Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, while West completes his training. We’ll be back open on Tuesday, October 13, from 12–5 PM!

We’re always looking for ways to better serve our South Side community, and this is another step toward making cycling accessible to all. Show West some love as he takes this next step! 💜

Ride Home is closing. 💔🚲

We’re incredibly grateful that Kris Anderson reached out to us as his family run bike shop was preparing to close its doors for the final time.

Kris generously donated 90% of the shop to Bikes For All People, including new helmets, new tools, new and used parts, accessories, bikes, and all kinds of bicycle goodies that we’ll be able to put to use in our shop and programs.

It’s unfortunate to see Ride Home close down after everything Kris and his family put into the shop and the cycling community. But we’re truly thankful for the opportunity to carry a piece of their legacy forward.

The generosity Kris showed us means a lot. All of these items will help us continue keeping bikes on the road, supporting our Wheels of Opportunity program, helping people learn how to work on their own bikes, and making cycling more accessible throughout our community.

Thank you, Kris, and thank you Ride Home, for trusting us with so much of your shop. We’re going to put it all to good use and make you proud. 💜🚲

🚲💜 WHAT A JAM PACKED WEEKEND! 💜🚲

We kicked things off at Rehab Tavern where we got to showcase our mission, talk about the work we do in the community, and show off some vintage bikes! We were also raising funds toward the fence we’re building to help create more space for our community. You can still donate! Link is in our bio 🙏🏾

Big shoutout to all of our board members and volunteers who helped make it happen. We couldn’t do this without y’all! 💜

We also partnered with A Simple Machine to bring an independent film to Columbus! The movie follows a young man trying to get out of debt by making some radically frugal choices, fixing up an old bike, and going off the grid. 🚲🎥

Over 50 people came out to watch with us and enjoy the movie! Thank you to everyone who rode, showed up, supported, laughed, and shared the experience with us. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to do more events like this in the future!

Tonight is Volunteer Night! 🔧🚲
6:30–8:30 PM. Come on by and learn how to wrench on a bike with us!

We’re also OPEN TODAY 12–5 PM!
