A big congratulations to our littlest competition dancers!! The Dolls showed up and showed out this weekend in Columbus! Their Jazz small group Boss Girls earned a platinum, judges “Girl Power” award, 1st overall 7-9 level 1 small group AND the Top Hat award for being the highest scoring 7-9 level 1 dance of the weekend!! Congratulations dancers!!!! We are so proud of your hard work!! 🩷💚🎩🩷💚🎩

Winning isn’t everything…but we don’t mind!! These kids were on absolute fire this weekend in Columbus! Check out our production number Welcome to Wonderland with their Drop The Mic award from the judges for a stand out performance! They also received a double platinum, 1st overall and a Top Hat Award for being the highest scoring 10-12 level 2 group dance of the entire weekend!! We are so incredibly proud of this team! As we head into our final regional competition weekend of the season, it only seems right that we take the time to showcase our graduating senior, Emily Carey. Emily has been dancing at DDC since we opened in 2017 and has been a member of our competition line for all 9 years! The thing she loves the most about DDC is that it’s the place that taught her to be the dancer and person that she is today, so truly it is all the teachers she has had over the years and all the friendships she has made here that she loves the most. What she will miss the most is having some place to come to everyday and getting to do what she loves with the people she loves. She will also miss getting to have her mom as her dance teacher and getting to learn from her and work with her all the time. Emily’s favorite memory is traveling to nationals to compete Goodbye Yellow Brick Road with her team and winning nationals and then winning the national championship during the showdown. That nationals trip and experience with her friends will always be her favoring memory. Emmy’s favorite styles of dance are contemporary, hiphop, and tap. Emily is a graduate of Licking Heights High School and her future plans are to teach dance and work in photography. Emmy, you are loved so very much by your dance family and your leadership, encouragement and support of your teammates and attention to detail will surely be missed. 🩷💚🎓

Congratulations to featured 5 year student Gabi Fitz-Gerald!
Gabi’s favorite styles of dance are jazz and hiphop. She loves Mrs. Michelle so much and misses Miss. Olivia. Her favorite part of DDC is how everyone cares about her so much and everyone is so willing to help her. One of Gabi’s favorite memories is being a little kid and playing in the play room with her new friends. She talks often about playing in the play room. Gabi is a very special young lady who has overcome so much! We are so proud to call her part of our dance family! 💚🩷
