Cohen Long is a 2026 IHSAA State Qualifier! That makes it two years in a row through the toughest Semi-State in Indiana. He will move on to compete at Gainbridge Fieldhouse next week for a shot at an IHSAA State championship!Â
Asher Ratliff fell in the ticket round to the Semi-State Champion and #1 ranked wrestler from Center Grove. It will make him a State Alternate for next week in case of an injury. That will unfortunately end his tournament run and an incredible high school wrestling career. Asher finishes his career as a 4x Semi-State qualifier, 1x Champion, 2x State Qualifier, and 1x place winner. Great season, great career, and a great young man.Â
Darrell Hicks went down with a serious injury Saturday morning in the first round. He was illegally slammed and suffered a neck injury. The incredible staff at the Ford Center moved quickly to get him to the hospital where he could be further evaluated. His scans came back with good results and he was released later in the afternoon. He is in good spirits, but will need time for recovery. We know he will be back tougher than ever next season!
Servando Lozano went down in a tight first round Heavy weight match which ended his tournament and his high school wrestling career. Servando was a 3 year starter and two time Semi-State qualifier. An impressive feat for an athlete who only wrestled for 3 years. He is leaving big shoes to fill as a wrestler and a leader.
