Why do we love the rowing machine at Forever Fit?

Because you get a whole lot of training out of one simple movement.

Rowing isn’t just cardio.

Every stroke asks your legs to produce force, your core to transfer it, and your upper body to finish the pull. You’re training multiple muscle groups while challenging your heart and lungs at the same time.

And we can adjust it to the person in front of us.

We can use the rower for short, powerful intervals to develop explosiveness.

We can slow things down and build aerobic endurance.

We can use it as part of a circuit or simply get the body moving without the repetitive impact that comes with running.

That’s what we mean when we talk about cardio with purpose.

We’re not interested in making you tired just for the sake of being tired.

Kids are naturally athletic.

They run.
They jump.

Somewhere along the way, many adults stop doing those things—and start believing athleticism belongs to a younger version of themselves.

It doesn’t.

As we age, the ability to produce force quickly and control it becomes incredibly important. It helps us react when we trip, catch our balance, change direction, get off the ground, and stay ready for the unexpected.

That’s why power and plyometric training have a place at Forever Fit.

For one person, that might mean jump squats, broad jumps, or lateral hops.

For someone with a joint replacement, previous injury, or balance limitation, it might mean ball slams, kettlebell swings, battle ropes, bike sprints, medicine ball throws, or agility ladder work.

The exercise changes.

John doesn’t train because he has extra time.
