We made it out for our first race of the season at Hickory Motor Speedway! We went for practice on Friday and just a few laps in an oil line blew causing the car to catch fire. We loaded the car up and brought it home. We worked on it until 5 AM to make it race ready on Saturday! During practice on Saturday morning, we noticed a problem with the motor from what happened the previous day. Unfortunately we were not able to qualify so we started in the back. We made it just one lap into the race and decided to pull off to not cause any further damage to the motor. This was not how we wanted to start our year off but I’m glad we were able to get a few laps in! Onto the next! 🏁

All loaded up and ready for the dirt track at Charlotte.

We had a good run at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. We started 12th and worked our way up to 7th by the halftime break. Changed our tires and made a small adjustment. After going back out I was bouncing back and fourth between 6th and 7th. We had a restart with 3 laps to go and someone spun out and I got hit and spun due to that but we were able to stay out and finish the race P5! Very proud of the crew for helping me achieve my best career finish!

We have our crate car swap out for the ump car for the Saturday night race at County Line Raceway with the Modified Mafia Tour.

Little shop update:
Got the clutch and throw out bearing out of the ARCA car to be replaced and started to work on the carburetor for the open motor car because our crate motor needs to get rebuilt before that gets ran again.

We went to Carolina Speedway last night. Qualified 3rd in our group. Then we went out for heat races and won the heat. For the feature I started on the pole. I didn’t have much straight away speed and fell back to third. The fourth place car drove through our left side which knocked us back to seventh. Finished P7.
We are working on cleaning up the car and looking at the motor to determine if we can run East Lincoln tonight!

The car is done and loaded for Carolina Speedway tonight.

We are planning on running Carolina speedway on Friday and East Lincoln speedway on Saturday
