It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing Randy Villanueva. Some of you may have seen Randy here the past few summers, some of you may not know who he is. When we bought the shop three years ago we didn’t know Randy, but we knew of Randy. We had heard the stories of his shenanigans while he toured the country in support of various race teams. It seemed everywhere he went a story worth telling over a drink unfolded, some were pretty crazy to be honest. When we first had him come down from PA to help for the busy season a few years ago we honestly were a little worried that he might be a bit much for the customer facing side of the business, that worry was misplaced. It turns out that guy, that had all those crazy stories, came packaged as a clean cut guy with all the proper skills of a solid salesman and the technical skills of the best mechanics out there. He was a legend and a genuinely good human being and we will miss all that he brought to our little business, but more so we will miss the person he was. RIP Randy, we hope the trails are flowy and never ending where you are!

We have been getting a lot of questions about the new Gibson Village Skate Park and Pump Track. The master plan was presented to Concord City Council on July 7th and this is the video of the complete presentation starting at time code 21:04. Once this project is closer to completion, we plan to provide support to the cycling and skating community with bikes, parts, service, and even skate equipment. It has been a long time coming, but we are excited to see this new park come alive.
