Welcome to Mires Martial Arts Karate School in Concord, CA


The style that we train is Shorin-Ryu which is a traditional Okinawan Martial Art. Students of this school will learn: Respect, Discipline, Self Defense, Self-Confidence, Kihons (Punches, Kicks, & Blocks), Kata (a sequence of movements), Technique (learning to defend against an attacker in a controlled environment), Kumite (fighting in a controlled environment, sparring) and more. Leonard Charles 4 highlights from sparring yesterday. Sadly I do not have video of his other fights, but he did do 30 in a row! I am very proud of him for fighting through to the end! I am also proud of my students for pushing him and grateful to have been able to welcome his friends who came out yo show him some love with their hands and feet as well!

We had an amazing test today! 2 new shodans Leonard Charles 4 and Rio Trudeau and 2 students moved up to nidan Jayden and Kai Trudeau Hana also earned her green belt! I could not be more proud of my students today. We also had a huge group of visitors who came and helped out with the sparring. It was an amazing day! Thank you to everyone for helping to make it so special!
