As a former collegiate baseball player at UNC-Chapel Hill, I was under some of the greatest leadership in the country which allowed me to learn a lot about the physical and mental side of baseball. After my playing days were cut short due to injury, I decided to pursue my dream of pouring all my baseball knowledge into kids by way of being a baseball trainer. Play Hard Baseball Academy is a baseball training organization that through individual and team training strive to make kids better in the sport of baseball. As an instructor, me and my staff always start with the fundamentals and work our way up from there. I also offer baseball classes which will teach the young athletes the mental and situational side of baseball which allows them to be well rounded baseball players

Play Hard Hitters, when I talk about “turning the L”… this is another illustration of it! When we talk about direction, adjustability and getting extended after contact…. I Wed that “L” in the front arm to be maintained in the turn till the k**b finds the AREA you feel the ball will end up in and the the release of the barrel starts where after contact we reach the power “V”, EXTENSION.. which is the strongest point in our swing!!! 🥎⚾️

As a trainer, I know the importance of getting kids on the right track as early as possible in their particular sport. Being around the sport of softball daily, there is a great need for softball pitching instructors and not many around.
Play Hard Baseball would like to introduce you to Ava Mergen, a great pitcher at Mount Pleasant H.S and a up and coming pitching instructor who makes it her business to teach beginners/seasoned players the art of pitching. She is a patient instructor who is great with the kids!
If your daughter is interested in being a pitcher or is already a pitcher and wants to get better….give Ava a shout, she will get your young athlete right!
