Weekend project bringing a little shade to one of our treeless pastures.

We need to adjust the corner heights for maximum water shed and afternoon shade and time will tell how well it holds up but happy with it as a quick resolution for no shade.

Gus is a very pleasant, goofy, not a care in the world type of gelding but we joke that he has a song playing very loudly, on repeat, in his head that keeps him from focusing on any sort of serious work.
So today, KC walked him up to me at the beginning of her lesson and said, “I figured out what song is playing in his head!”
And if you know Gus and can imagine this playing in his head and the thought of him thinking he’s dancing like Beyoncé it’s hilarious.

You know it’s hot when they voluntarily line up to be hosed off.

We’ve been hosing all of our horses off out in the pastures every evening to help keep them cooler. Most of them enjoy it very much and it’s obvious it makes them more comfortable.

What are you doing to help beat the heat this week?
