🏁 CARAWAY WEEKEND RECAP! 🏁

With a major storm heavily in the forecast for Saturday afternoon and evening, we definitely tossed and turned over whether or not to make the trip to Caraway this past weekend. In the end, we decided to load up and go racing — and we’re sure glad we did! 💪🏁

We spent the day working through several practice rounds. The car was decent, but we knew we still had more speed to find. As always, the team went to work, making adjustments and working hard all day to get Jacob where we needed him to be.

When qualifying rolled around, Jacob put the car P5 overall in a mixed field of Bandits and Outlaws.

Then it was time to go racing!

An early-race incident happened right in front of Jacob, moving him closer to the front of the field. From there, Jacob drove his butt off, putting together a fantastic race and bringing it home P2 OVERALL and P1 IN OUTLAWS! 🏆🥈

A HUGE thank you to Race Driven Performance for all the hard work that goes into keeping everything going and getting these cars fast. We know Caraway isn’t necessarily one of our favorite tracks, especially being a blue-restrictor-plate track, but the team found the speed when it mattered most — and we ended the night with a 1-2 Outlaw finish! 🔥

🏁 WEEKEND RECAP | FLORENCE & DILLON 🏁

What a weekend for Jacob Hassey Racing! From a hard-fought podium finish at Florence Motor Speedway to a victory at Dillon Motor Speedway, it was a weekend filled with racing, learning, and plenty to be proud of!

First and foremost, we want to officially welcome Carlson Tree and Land Services to the JHR family! We’re incredibly excited to have you on board as a partner. And what better way to start our partnership than by putting the car in Victory Lane! Thank you Ryan!! 🏆

🏁 SATURDAY | FLORENCE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Saturday was a little different for our team. With the rest of the crew back at the shop preparing for the big Labor Day race at Dillon, it was just Mom, Dad, and Jacob making the trip to Florence. Needless to say, we were a little nervous about handling everything ourselves for the first time!

Jacob practiced well and qualified P2, but then the rain came.

Thankfully, we were able to get the race in, and Jacob put together a hard-fought run. He battled the car running in third for much of the race, which unfortunately allowed the eventual winner to get away. Jacob never gave up, fought all the way to the checkered flag, and brought it home with a strong 2nd-place finish! 🥈

🏆 SUNDAY | DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Sunday brought us to Dillon Motor Speedway for the Labor Day race. With the track moving the event to Sunday, the Bandolero field was unfortunately very small, with only three cars entered.

The third car ultimately decided not to race, leaving Jacob and Caroline Thomas to take on the race.

But Sunday wasn't really about the result.

It was about helping another young driver get valuable seat time and experience.

It was Caroline’s first time in the car, and Jacob spent time helping her find the racing line, learn the track, and get comfortable behind the wheel. The two had an absolute blast, and Caroline did fantastic! 👏

Ultimately, the race came to an end and Jacob was credited with the win, but that wasn't what mattered most to us that day. Watching Jacob take the time to help and encourage another new driver was the real victory. Racing is about more than checkered flags — it's about teaching, learning, helping others, and growing the sport we love. ❤️🏁

Races 2 and 3 at Dominion were a mixed bag for us today. Finished p4 in race one and 8th in outlaws in the second race.

Unfortunately when Jacob went to go out for the second round we had an issue with a stubborn throttle pedal, and with no time to change anything he had to jump in his car that was last ran at Bowman Gray. Change of car meant starting at the back. Believe it or not it was ...okay for a bit until he cut a tire ending his day.

Final day and last two races tomorrow as we round out the road course racing as we gear up for Nationals.

Race 1of 5 is in the books for the day. Jacob finished in 2nd place, but was the fastest car on the track. Rob Brown in his first road race finished p3!! Hope it's a start of a great weekend!

🏁 Kyle Busch Invitational — Bowman Gray Stadium Recap 🏁

What an absolute HONOR it was to be a part of the Kyle Busch Invitational at the legendary Bowman Gray Stadium. ❤️🏁

The day started with a pretty serious rainstorm, but Mother Nature cleared things up just in time. As the clouds broke, an unbelievable sky lit up behind the Stadium — setting the stage for a night that was exciting, emotional, and truly special.

Jacob said before the race that Bowman Gray is now his favorite track, and he definitely showed it on the track!

Practice went really well, but we took a shot in qualifying and tried to give him a little more. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work in our favor. Jacob ended up starting 15th out of 18 of the very best Bandolero drivers in the nation, including both Outlaws and Bandits.

With the field being as stacked as it was, qualifying times were incredibly tight. The smallest hiccup could mean several positions, and that's exactly where we found ourselves.

But we went to work.

🔧 We made some adjustments, the car woke back up, and Jacob went to work.
In a short, intense race, Jacob drove his butt off, charging from 15th to finish 9th — and by the end of the race, he was one of the faster cars on the track. 💪🔥

Considering the caliber of this field, we're incredibly proud of that drive.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to Bowman Gray to support, cheer, and encourage Jacob. Seeing and hearing everyone behind him meant more to our family and team than we can put into words. ❤️

We sincerely hope this becomes an annual event, because we absolutely loved Bowman Gray Stadium and everything about this experience.
