This morning I had one of those moments that made me think about you. It was 5 AM on a Sunday morning. We were finishing a workout, doing abs. I was standing between Jordan and Justin when Jordan mentioned that his wife had asked him what he wanted for Father’s Day.
His answer was simple. He wanted to come to .

Justin laughed and said that was exactly what he wanted too. I don’t know why, but that hit me in a way I wasn’t expecting. As I stood there, my mind immediately went to you.

Because none of this exists without you.
Vision exists because losing you changed the course of my life. I spent years trying to understand why things happened the way they did. Years trying to make sense of the pain, the anger, the confusion, and the emptiness that came with losing my dad at seven years old. What I didn’t realize back then was that God was writing a story I couldn’t see yet. The thing that broke my heart would eventually become the thing that gave my life purpose. Standing there this morning, I realized something.

Two fathers were spending Father’s Day exactly where they wanted to be. They wanted to spend part of their day with friends challenging themselves getting stronger for their families laughing and being part of something bigger than themselves. And it hit me that what started because of losing my father has somehow become a place where fathers come together. A place where they can become stronger. A place where they can show up better for their wives, their kids, and their families.

You never got the chance to walk through these doors. You never got to see Vision.
You never got to meet the people who have become family to me. You never got to see the lives being changed every day inside these walls. But you’re here anyway. You’re in every early morning. Every risk. Every prayer. Every class. Every person who walks through the door looking for something more. You’re in the reason I refused to quit when quitting would’ve been easier. The reason I kept building when nobody understood the vision.
