This weekend’s progress at Dragonstone Springs was all about putting in the work. ⚔️🔥
Arkansas Ring of Steel spent the weekend clearing land, grinding down smaller stumps, digging out the bigger ones, and burning brush as we continue building our permanent space at Dragonstone.
It may not be the glamorous part of armored combat, but this is how a dream turns into something real — one workday, one shovel, one stump, and one fire at a time.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out, worked, helped, supported, or continues to believe in what we’re building. This space is becoming more than just a place to fight. It’s becoming a home for training, education, community, and the future of armored combat in Arkansas.
The lyst is coming. The encampment is coming. The future is being built.
Big things are happening for Arkansas Ring of Steel.
We’re proud to announce that we are officially breaking ground on our permanent spot at the Arkansas Renaissance Festival.
This is more than just a piece of land to us — it’s the beginning of a home.
Our new space will include a 25x50 lyst, stadium bleachers for spectators, and a fighter encampment that will give us a dedicated place to train, fight, teach, and share what we love with everyone who comes through the festival gates.
For Ring of Steel, this means growth.
It means permanence.
It means building something lasting for our team, for our supporters, and for the future of armored combat in Arkansas.
Having a permanent location gives us the opportunity to create a better experience for the crowd, a stronger home for our fighters, and a place where the sport, the history, and the community can keep growing together. This is a huge step forward for us, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it come to life.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, trained with us, and believed in what we’re building. We’re not just putting up a field — we’re building a legacy.
The Ring of Steel is planting roots, and this is only the beginning.

Big thanks to Memphis Armored Fight Club for welcoming two of our fighters out to 797 Distillery for a night of fights, fellowship, and flying steel.
We love opportunities like this—meeting new fighters, testing skills, and building the armored combat community beyond our own list. Proud of our guys for representing Arkansas Ring of Steel well.

⚔️ From Knight to Mercenary… and bringing home GOLD ⚔️
This weekend at Ritterfest, one of our own—Marc—stepped into the list not just as a knight of the Arkansas Ring of Steel, but as a mercenary for hire… and he made it count.
After putting in the work, taking the hits, and fighting through some hard rounds, Marc walked away with GOLD in the profights. 🥇
That’s what this sport is about—grit, brotherhood, and proving yourself no matter what banner you fight under. Whether he’s repping Ring of Steel or fighting alongside others, he carries that same mindset every time he steps in the list.
We’re proud of you, man. You earned every bit of that.

We had an absolute blast getting to share what we do—talking about chivalry, bravery, and the history behind the armor and equipment we use. Getting to meet such a great group of Scouts, answer questions, and let everyone get hands-on with the armor made it an unforgettable experience for us.
Y’all brought the energy, the curiosity, and the respect—and that’s exactly what this sport and this community are all about.
We’re honored to have been part of your day and hope we helped spark a little inspiration along the way. Maybe we’ll see some of you stepping into the list one day.

⚔️ Arkansas Ring of Steel is heading to Cubs in Shining Armor! 🛡️
We’re excited to be part of this year’s Cub Adventure Weekend at Camp Rockefeller (April 10–12), where Scouts will get the chance to step into the world of knights!
Our team will be there bringing history to life with:
🛡️ Live armored demonstrations
🛡️ Hands-on armor experiences
🏕️ Real lessons on bravery, chivalry, honor, and respect
This isn’t just something to watch—it’s something to experience. We’ll be working directly with Scouts, showing them what it meant to be a knight and how those values still matter today.

This Saturday we’re opening the doors and inviting anyone with the courage and curiosity to come train with us. No experience needed. No gear required. Just bring a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
We’ll cover fundamentals, movement, basic striking mechanics, and give you a safe introduction to what armored combat is really about. Whether you’re looking to compete in full-contact medieval combat or just want to try something different, this is your chance.
