As the Arkansas Ring of Steel continues to grow and restructure, we are proud to put a renewed focus on building and strengthening our women’s team—the Sisters of Infernal Steel.

This is for women who are ready to challenge themselves, learn armored combat, build confidence, and become part of a team that fights for one another both inside and outside the lyst.

You do not have to own armor or already know how to fight. You only need the courage to take that first step. We can help introduce you to the sport, explain the equipment, and begin building the skills needed to become a fighter.

With construction underway on our new permanent lyst at the Arkansas Renaissance Festival, we decided there could not be a better time to take a hard look at the future of the Arkansas Ring of Steel.

Along with a new look, we are beginning a restructuring within the team—clarifying leadership, strengthening expectations, improving training, and creating a better foundation for both our current fighters and those who join us in the future.

Ring of Steel has always been about more than stepping into armor and fighting. We are a family first and a competition team second. Brotherhood, sisterhood, accountability, inclusiveness, safety, and respect will remain at the heart of everything we build.

This is not about forgetting where we came from. It is about honoring it by becoming stronger, more organized, and better prepared for what comes next.

The new lyst is only the beginning.

Official Statement from Arkansas Ring of Steel

Arkansas Ring of Steel is a family first and a competition team second. Respect, safety, integrity, and inclusiveness are at the foundation of everything we do.

We do not tolerate violence, abuse, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or degrading behavior toward anyone based on race, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity, religion, personal beliefs, political views, disability, background, or any other difference.

Membership in Ring of Steel is a privilege, and every member is expected to represent our team with honor both inside and outside the lyst. When a member’s conduct does not align with our standards and values, we will take appropriate action, including ending that individual’s association with the team.

We will continue working to provide a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment where fighters, families, volunteers, and supporters are treated with dignity and respect.

We fight hard, but we stand together.

Arkansas Ring of Steel would like to give a shoutout to our female fighter, Kelcee, of the Sisters of Infernal Steel!

Kelcee brings grit, determination, and heart every time she steps onto the field. She represents the strength, toughness, and fighting spirit that makes this sport and this community so incredible. We’re proud to have warriors like her standing beside us and showing exactly what it means to fight with passion and purpose.

Much respect to Kelcee and the Sisters of Infernal Steel for continuing to raise the bar and bring intensity wherever they go.

Steel sharpens steel, and fighters like Kelcee make us all better.

Today we want to give a huge shoutout to Patrick, Ring of Steel’s Captain and Co-Founder.

From the beginning, Patrick has helped build this team from an idea into a community of fighters, squires, marshals, and supporters. His leadership, dedication, and willingness to put in the work both on and off the list have helped shape what Ring of Steel stands for.

Captain, coach, fighter, co-founder, and the guy who has helped keep this whole thing moving forward — Patrick has been a huge part of our foundation, and we are proud to have him leading from the front.

Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do for Ring of Steel.

⚔️ From Knight to Mercenary… and bringing home GOLD ⚔️

This weekend at Ritterfest, one of our own—Marc—stepped into the list not just as a knight of the Arkansas Ring of Steel, but as a mercenary for hire… and he made it count.

After putting in the work, taking the hits, and fighting through some hard rounds, Marc walked away with GOLD in the profights. 🥇

That’s what this sport is about—grit, brotherhood, and proving yourself no matter what banner you fight under. Whether he’s repping Ring of Steel or fighting alongside others, he carries that same mindset every time he steps in the list.

We’re proud of you, man. You earned every bit of that.

⚔️ Arkansas Ring of Steel is heading to Cubs in Shining Armor! 🛡️
We’re excited to be part of this year’s Cub Adventure Weekend at Camp Rockefeller (April 10–12), where Scouts will get the chance to step into the world of knights!
Our team will be there bringing history to life with:
🛡️ Live armored demonstrations
🛡️ Hands-on armor experiences
🏕️ Real lessons on bravery, chivalry, honor, and respect
This isn’t just something to watch—it’s something to experience. We’ll be working directly with Scouts, showing them what it meant to be a knight and how those values still matter today.
