The health benefits of Pilates include: improved flexibility. increased muscle strength and tone, particularly of your abdominal muscles, lower back, hips.
Pilates movements start from the center of the core. The key feature of Pilates is to develop a strong, stable and flexible core. Learning proper breathing, control, precision, and balanced muscle development.

This is Ed. I met him when I signed up for 10 pilates mat classes about 20 years ago at a community center. In those 10 visits I felt less back pain and more strength. I then traveled an hour to train with him in his home pilates studio 2 times a week. I said, and still say, that Ed and pilates gave me back my life after suffering an injury doing beside nursing and having multiple surgeries. After a couple years with Ed I went through a comprehensive pilates certification and opened Pilates of Central Arkansas. Of my hundreds of clients I've taught over the last 18 years they have all heard me talk about Ed. He is now 92 and is retiring from teaching pilates. I hope and pray I can continue teaching into my 90's.
