Senior shout out: Gavin Chaney A two sport athlete at Glen Rose, Chaney played both football and baseball for the Beavers, helping the baseball team to the state semifinals in 2018.

Trace is the first of our younger Hitmen team to win a state title! Sheridan wins the 5A state tourney. We’re extremely proud of you Trace. We have another chance to add to this list Monday when CAC plays for the 3A state title. Good luck Zane!

Feeling like old times

Good luck to our four former Hitmen players and their teams as they play for a state title this weekend. Orey Chandler and the Horatio Lions look to defeat the defending champs (Harding Academy) and bring the trophy back to Horatio after winning it all in 2016. They beat Glen Rose which features two Hitmen (Trey McKim and Gavin Chaney) in the semifinals. Preston Fleeman, Braden Murdock and the Benton Panthers have had a great run through state and knocked off the defending champion Sheridan Yellowjackets in the semifinals. Let's hope Trace Watkins can help get Sheridan back next year. Will Phillips and the Spring Hill Bears are defending champs, and we hope Will can take home another state championship in his last HS game. Leave it all on the field and enjoy the experience!

Congratulations to Rainwater, Chandler, Chaney and McKim on their Regional Championships. Good luck at state to all our Hitmen!
