Can you believe all these are in Tennessee?!

Tennessee is not only home to the most visited National Park in the USA, but also home to many epic waterfalls, including the tallest underground waterfall in the country!

🚘Best time to chase waterfalls in Tennessee: We recommend the Fall season for foliage as TN is one of the most beautiful states to take a fall roadtrip to. The Spring is also a great time to chase waterfalls for when the snow melts and rain shows occur often, producing picturesque cascades

✈️Major airports in TN: Nashville, Memphis, McGhee Tyson, Lovell Field

Here is our guide to chasing some of the most amazing waterfalls East Tennessee has to offer (We started our trip close to Nashville):

📍Cummins Falls State Park
2.4 miles RT to get to the base of the waterfall, 0.9 miles RT to the upper overlook
📍Burgess Falls State Park
1.5 miles RT to the overlook, you will pass through a couple smaller falls on the way. There is NO hiking access to the bottom of the falls, the only way is to kayak or boat in
📍Twin Falls
Located in Rock Island State Park, absolutely epic waterfall with little to no hiking involved
📍Greeter Falls (3.2 mile Loop)
📍Machine Falls
1.6 miles RT, a bit of a climb on the way back, be careful as the steps can be slippery
📍Ruby Falls @rubyfallscave
Accidentally discovered in 1928 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ruby Falls is the deepest and tallest UNDERGROUND waterfall in the United States. Ticket is $22.95/adult, and $12.95/children ages 3 to 12. You will first take a glass elevator and descend 260 feet underground, then walk about 0.5 mile in a paved underground cave through many interesting formations before reaching the waterfall

Have you been to any waterfalls in TN? What other waterfalls would you add to this list?!

Hey Dojo family, we're having our annual Christmas party Sunday, December 17, at 5pm. Dinner will be served, and we'll be playing dirty Santa. If you want to participate, just bring a gift for under $25. We hope everyone from the dojo can make it, but please RSVP so we know how much to overdo it on the food. :D

FROM A PARENT✨
One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do Tae Kwon do?" Well I have a confession to make, I don't pay for my kids Tae Kwon do. Personally, I couldn't care less about Taekwon-do.
So if I am not paying for Taekwon-do what am I paying for?
💥I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.
💥I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go their clubs but go anyway.
💥I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined.
💥I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body.
💥I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates.
💥I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't get that belt they'd hoped for, but still have to work hard in the grading.
💥I pay for my kids learn to make and accomplish goals.
💥I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours and hours and hours of hard work and practice to create a black belt, and that success does not happen over night.
💥I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships.
💥I pay so that my kids can be on the mats instead of in front of a screen...
I could go on but to be short, I don't pay for Taekwon-do, I pay for the opportunities that Taekwon-do provides my kids to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!
