Time for some

To me, this says that if you ever hope to be successful in anything (athletics, school, work, etc.), you first have to realize that it depends on you. On your work ethic. On your determination. On your ability to pick yourself up after a failure and keep pressing.

You have to see yourself achieving your goals before you actually get there.

What is a legendary athlete? What does a legendary athlete do?

✔ give 💯 in every practice / workout / lift / game
✔ know and consume the proper amount of fuel per day (aka food)
✔ make it a priority to sleep at least 8 hours. Every. Single. Night.
✔ ask questions when you dont understand a lift, a drill, or a concept.
✔ make sure you support and lead newer / less experienced teammates
✔ display a calm focus under pressure
✔ accept criticism and direction and actually make changes for growth / gains
✔ get up and try again after failure
✔ give credit where credit is due

Happy Friday!!! Try this out for some on this wonderful !

Persistence changes everything. Things get difficult and can look and feel like failure, but keep at it. When your back is against the wall and things seem impossible, dig in and keep going. That's when incredible things are achieved. You can do it!

Athlete Spotlight 🏐 💯

Shout out to for improving her single leg power by 12.65% and 17.68% over 8 weeks of speed, agility, and quickness training!!! That's absolutely amazing!!!

If you haven't realized it yet, running is a single leg activity. That means each step she takes is now 12.65% / 17.68% more powerful, getting her to the ball faster. Who wouldn't be excited about that??

Calling all athletes in 7th, 8th, or 9th grades!!! Do you know how to lift weights yet? Are you scared to lift weights? Have you tried to lift but found it difficult to understand what you were doing?

We got you!

Weightlifting can be scary and confusing. We are here to help!! We are proud to offer our Learn The Lift Workshops for all athletes who are in middle school or heading into high school and want to learn about lifting first! Learn about the major lifts you do in the weight room, how it applies to your sport, and learn to perform them correctly so that you are ready to tackle the weight room experience!!! Don't worry, if you are already in high school and lifting is still new for you, we would love to help you figure it out!

There will be 2 sessions each Saturday from June 5th to June 19th, and from July 10th to July 24th. Find all the information you need right here (https://www.rtpelite.com/learnthelifts)!

The purpose of this program is to prevent weight room injuries in athletes. If you know what the lift is, how to perform it, and why it is important, you not only reduce the risk of injuries but you increase your performance potential!! See you on June 5th!
