The Minnesota Blue Ox are excited to announce the signing of Danny Olson for the 2026-27 NCDC season!

A product of Minnesota’s north metro hockey community, Danny brings a rare combination of size, strength, and defensive reliability to our blue line. Standing 6’2” and over 200 pounds, Olson is a physical, right-shot defenseman who takes pride in shutting down opponents, winning battles, and protecting his own zone.

We’re proud to keep another talented Minnesota player close to home and can’t wait to see Danny wearing Blue Ox colors this fall.

The Minnesota Blue Ox are excited to announce the return of Payne Sweeny for the 2026-27 season!

A familiar face in C**n Rapids, Payne brings size, experience, and a TEAM-first mentality back to the Blue Ox lineup. The Lake Geneva, Wisconsin native stands at 6’4”, 194 lbs and returns after competing with the Blue Ox organization during the 2025-26 season. 

Payne’s commitment to the program and continued development make him an important piece as we prepare for our first season in the NCDC.

A right-shot defenseman from Torrance, California, AJ brings junior hockey experience after competing in the NA3HL last season. At 5’10” and 170 lbs, he combines mobility, competitiveness, and a strong two-way game from the back end.

We’re excited to add another driven player to our defensive corps as we continue building for our first NCDC season.

A forward from Tartan High School, Parent brings Minnesota high school experience, offensive upside, and a relentless compete level to C**n Rapids. Last season, Carter recorded 16 points in 26 games while continuing to develop into a player capable of impacting the game in all three zones.

We’re excited to see Carter take the next step in his development with the Blue Ox.

🚨 SIGNED: MASON KELM 🚨

The Minnesota Blue Ox are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Mason Kelm for the 2026-27 NCDC season.

The Holmen, Wisconsin native brings a proven track record of success to C**n Rapids after posting a 7-0 record in the NA3HL last season, along with a goals-against average under 2.00 and a save percentage north of .900. During his high school career, he posted 30 wins and a save percentage of .920.

Mason’s consistency, compete level, and ability to make key saves in big moments make him an exciting addition to the Blue Ox crease.
