As soon as something becomes scarce or hard to find, we start to think, “But what if I need it?” This being said, the formula shortage can be scary for all families, including families who are breastfeeding.

If you are currently breastfeeding and supplementing some feedings with formula, you may want to think about increasing your milk supply.

Nonetheless, plan ahead and don’t wait until last minute. For example, if you’re interested in relactating, learn about it so you have a plan ahead of time, and don’t find yourself scrambling to find help when you’re in dire need of it.

If you have any concerns, don’t forget to speak to your baby’s pediatrician.
