Don’t get caught using the same weight for these foundational LIFTS! Different muscle groups deserve different weight ranges to be effective!🔥

One of your BEST filters for finding the right weight for a lift is to analyze the set when you finish and ask ONE SIMPLE QUESTION:..
How many reps did I have left in the tank at the end of that set?..
If the answer is 1-2 or less, you are working in a challenging manner that is appropriate..
If the answer is 3+, you have some room to GROW!..

The most important thing to remember is that your lifting journey is ALWAYS evolving and should be fluid in working at the most challenging weight you can lift with safe form at any given time.

WHEN & WHY to wear GRIPS when LIFTING.👩‍🏫

☑️ Grips are a TOOL, not a crutch: if you are trying to build grip strength, limit their use. When your grip is LIMITING your lift because your hands/forearms are failing before the targeted muscle group, these are a nice solution…
☑️ Used mainly for posterior chain and pulling movements (deadlifts, rows, pull ups). These are larger muscle groups that require heavier loads to build and weak grip strength can hinder your performance…
☑️ You don’t have to use them ALL the time. Lifting isn’t all or nothing. Using grips for some workouts or specific movements but not others is very appropriate for creating balance between building strength in large muscles AND in grip…
☑️ Straps are great tool! Personal preference is really the deciding factor. Both have the same overall purpose..

If you want to take your lifting to the next level or improve your comfort on these movements, give this tool a try! You can purchase any brand you like but at JL we recommend Cobra Grips (Flex or Pro) and they can be purchased on Amazon. Most people (women included) need Medium/Large, Small tend to be a little TOO small for most hands.
