What a way to kick off the season!
Two of my incredible athletes Afife and Kelly Quintero took on the Mount Charleston Half Marathon—building strength, confidence, and momentum as they gear up for their marathons later this year. 🏃♀️🔥
And three more athletes Diana Carolina Lizarazo Catalina Bonilla Edna Tello toed the line for their first triathlon of 2026. Strong tune-up race on the road to their 70.3 goals. 🚴♂️🏊♀️🏃♂️
This is how great seasons begin… showing up, putting in the work, and trusting the process.

I am a fitness and strength coach, nutrition certified, running and triathlon coach. My goal is to help as many people as I can improve their lifestyle and improve sports performance. I am passionate about triathlon and I want to share that with you. I will share content about fitness, strength, flexibility and injury prevention and nutrition tips. I am not much of a cook but love simple and easy

Creating new habits is not easy. In fact, it can take around 66 days for a habit to really start to stick. But once it becomes part of your lifestyle, everything changes.
You stop making excuses because it becomes part of who you are.
This is why I love what I do. ❤️
I love seeing my clients get stronger.
I love watching the inches go down and body fat drop.
I love hearing them say they lifted something heavy with confidence…
that they can get up from the floor without struggling…
that their clothes fit better…
that someone noticed and complimented them.
That is the real win.
For me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping people improve their health, build confidence, and truly change their lives through movement, consistency, and wellness. 💪🏼

This one was built on consistency:
• Lots of easy running
• Treadmill speed intervals
• Incline treadmill runs to simulate hills
• Long runs with hills
• Strength training 2–3x/week
• 2 rides/week to maintain the bike
• 2–3 swims/week to build aerobic fitness and improve form
Everything working together 💪🏼
We lucked out with beautiful weather and a scenic course…..always a bonus. Even better, getting to race alongside friends .ura_gra who share the same passion for endurance ❤️
Now… let’s talk about that course being 0.25 miles long 😅
Missing 2 minutes of my goal time of 1:57… and yes, missing the podium by 30 seconds stings a little. Ugh. 😣
But still—proud of the effort, proud of the process, and proud of the progress.
And HUGE shoutout to —my athlete, training partner, and dear friend—who ran strong through challenges and still secured 2nd place 👏🏼🔥 and .calloway.961 for her first place finish 💥💪🏼

MEET THE COACH 👋🏼
A little about me…
I’m a wife, a mom, and soon-to-be grandma 💕
Fitness has always been part of my life. I fell in love early with strength training and aerobic classes. Yes, I was kind of a gym rat.
In my 30s, I discovered endurance sports… and triathlon completely stole my heart. What started with sprint races turned into a journey all the way to the Ironman start line.

• 23 Half Ironman races
• 4× 70.3 World Championship qualifiers, 3× finisher
• 6 Full Ironman races
• Kona World Championship qualifier & finisher
I’ve been a Personal Trainer & Health Coach since 2001, an Endurance Coach since 2014, completed Ironman University. I’m a Precision Nutrition Coach and a RRCA running coach.
But titles and medals aren’t why I coach.
I coach because I love helping people realize they are capable of more than they ever imagined. Whether that’s qualifying for Boston, racing at Worlds, finishing their first 5K, or simply moving pain-free and feeling strong again.
I believe in:

When training gets hard…
When the race or training asks more of you…
Come back to these words.
Mantras to keep going when your body wants to stop but your mind won’t:
1️⃣ You can do hard things.
You’ve done them before. This is just another moment to prove it.
2️⃣ It always seems impossible until it’s done.
Every finish line once felt out of reach.
3️⃣ You are stronger than you think.
Strength shows up when comfort leaves.
4️⃣ Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.
When it hurts and doubt creeps in, I repeat this.
Gratitude quiets the fear.
Gratitude keeps me moving forward.
Keep going.
The finish line is closer than you think.

✨ Diana Mercado ✨
Runner | 3x Marathon Finisher
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching since May 2025, when she came to me with a big goal in mind — the NYC Marathon. Since then, she has shown what consistency, patience, and dedication truly look like.
Diana is a busy mom of two, yet she continues to show up for herself. Is every week perfect? No, and that’s real life. What makes her special is that she always gets back to her training, understanding that progress in running comes from patience and long-term commitment.
Through added strength training, guidance on daily and race nutrition, and steady, intentional work, Diana is making real strides — including her fastest race to date this past weekend 💪🏼🔥
Beyond her own accomplishments, Diana leads by example. She motivates her family to run and shows how a running lifestyle brings health, confidence, and positive energy into everyday life.
