We have 2 Brown Bear Hunts available for this Spring, May 4-15 and May 15-26. These are 10 day hunts with a day of travel on each end and a black bear is included for no trophy fee. The normal price for this hunt is $25,500 and I am letting them go for $20,500 to fill these remaining spots. These are high success rate hunts with some very nice bears. I just wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for applying for the Alaska Drawing Hunts is Monday December 15th at 5pm Alaska time. Anyone wanting to apply for the non-resident Moose hunt on the Bering River should do so using hunt code DM160. You can apply up to 6 times using the same code which I would encourage you to do. The process is fairly straightforward from the Department of Fish and Game website. You do not need a UVC as moose is not a guide required species. 2025 Mountain Goat Cancellation!
We just had a client cancel his 2025 mountain goat hunt because of health reasons. The dates are September 21-29 and the cost is $17,500. This can be either archery or rifle, but preferably rifle. The normal rate is $20,500. I would require a 50% deposit ($8,750) with the balance due 60 days prior to the hunt (July 21). In 2024 we had a 100% opportunity rate for mountain goats with an overall success rate of 77%.

With the overall sheep numbers being down across Alaska, there has been an increase in pressure from both resident and non-resident hunters on mountain goats. Chances are that at least a couple of our best units will go to drawing hunts in 2027 which will greatly limit the number of clients we can take. Right now they are registration hunts and tags are available over the counter. We have this hunt available for 2025 and 3 available for 2026. Now that the excitement of the Holidays is over, we are pushing to fill our remaining spots for 2025 and 2026. The word from the State Wildlife Biologist is that some of our best Mountain Goat areas will be going to a draw hunt in 2027. Currently, these are registration hunts and tags are available over the counter. Once a draw is instated, the tags will become very hard to get, especially for non-residents, and the cost of the hunts will increase. 2025 will be our 30th anniversary of hunting these magnificent animals, and we have put dozens in the B&C and P&Y record books. We have access to an incredible amount of excellent Mountain Goat habitat and know how to hunt it. With the sheep numbers being down across the State, many mountain hunters have switched their focus to goats, and the pressure is increasing. Our success rate for 2024 was 88%. These are very demanding hunts, but you get out of it what you put into it. Each of our hunts are 1X1 guided and include very capable packers to help with the adventure. We are pleased to announce that the State of Alaska has re-authorized our Non-Resident moose hunt in part of unit 6A. It is a drawing hunt with only 5 tags available, but there are some tremendous bulls down there, and we would love to take you if you draw the tag! I just wanted to give you a quick update on our season. We had a 94% shot opportunity rate on our Mountain Goat hunts this fall with an overall success rate of 88%. Unfortunately 2 of them were hit and not recovered, which does happen in Goat country. James Barkhimer, pictured below, may have taken the new Pope and Young world record. It officially green scores 54 2/8 which is 6/8 above the current record. We do have openings for 2025 and 2026 so let me know if you want to sign up for one of these magnificent trophies!

We have had a cancellation on our Brown Bear/Mountain Goat hunt for this fall so I am looking for 1 other hunter to fill the slot. There will be only 2 hunters in camp and this includes both trophies for $19,500.00. It is a 12 day, 2X2 hunt with a day on each end for transport into and out of the field starting on September 24th. This is an excellent opportunity to get 2 of Alaska's bucket list trophies in 1 trip. A black bear, wolf or wolverine can also be taken for no trophy fees. We have a combination Brown Bear/Mountain Goat hunt available for this fall, September 24th-October 5th. It is for 2 hunters for $18,500/ hunter with a $6000 trophy fee on the goat. It is a great opportunity to get 2 of Alaska's bucket list trophies in 1 trip. A black bear, wolf and wolverine can also be taken. It needs to be 2 buddies coming together or a father/son. Spring 2022 combo brown and black bear hunt success! Day 1 29 yards brown bear down and day 5 60 yards black bear down! Sometimes it just falls together. Congratulations Andy on some beautiful mature bears!

was a pleasure to have in Cordova Alaska with us. He went home a very happy and successful man with two archery kills along with watching his buddy kill his billy with a bow! It’s a fun games until the pack out starts 👊🏼
