Day 1 of the FACS Lady Crusaders Basketball Camp is in the books! 🏀💚💛

What a great start to an exciting week. Our campers brought incredible energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn as they worked on basketball fundamentals, skill development, teamwork, and character building.

We are thankful for every player and family who chose to spend part of their summer with us. The future is bright for these young athletes, and we’re looking forward to seeing their growth over the next two days.

As we remind our players, success starts with faith, hard work, and a positive attitude.

Coach Autumn Pope is excited to join the girls' basketball program at First Assembly Christian School. This past year, she founded Team ICONIC as an extension of the work she began while coaching in JayLo Sports' elementary program. She has also served as an assistant coach with the Mississippi Lady Mambas.

Although she played basketball as a youth and throughout high school, Coach Pope's passion for player development grew as she watched her older brother mentor an aspiring professional athlete and later launch a college recruiting program that was ahead of its time. Grounded in her faith in God, she believes basketball is a powerful platform to build character, discipline, confidence, and purpose in young athletes. As both a parent and coach, she is committed to helping players develop strong fundamentals, gain a deeper understanding of the game, and apply those lessons to life beyond basketball.

Outside of basketball, Autumn Pope serves as Regional Vice President of Sales for HealthJoy, a benefits technology platform focused on improving healthcare navigation and member engagement. She and her husband, Tyler, are proud parents of two young athletes, Briar and Mack, and reside in Hernando.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Coach Taylor has added Nicholas Perry to the Lady Crusaders coaching staff.

Coach Perry is a passionate and dedicated basketball coach committed to developing players both on and off the court. With more than 10 years of experience at the middle and high school levels, he focuses on building strong fundamentals, fostering teamwork, and shaping character.

Throughout his career, he has guided teams to consistent playoff success while mentoring student-athletes to excel academically and grow as individuals. His approach emphasizes discipline, accountability, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Beyond the game, Coach Perry values strong relationships with players, parents, and the community. He believes basketball is a platform for teaching life lessons such as leadership, perseverance, and responsibility.

Guided by faith and driven by purpose, Coach Perry leads with the belief that the game is about more than basketball—it’s about making a lasting impact.

🏀 Calling all girls entering 4th–8th grade interested in playing Winter Basketball for the 2026–27 season! You do not have to attend FACS to try out.
