It is with a heavy heart we make this announcement... As of December 1st, 2024, ASA will be permanently closing its doors. While we are saddened by this, we will continue doing business under our dive club the Reef Rangers! A HUGE thank you to those that supported our business for the last four years.

Hello ASA divers! We are updating our fall hours. The shop will be closed on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday for the remainder of the year. Our normal business hours will be from 10AM-6PM Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thank you all for your support and safe diving!

Hey all you Lobster hunters! 🦞 The 2024 Lobster season is just about to kick off, and we’ve got an adventure you won’t want to miss! Join the American Scuba Academy and Reef Rangers Dive Club on our epic Lobster trip aboard the Bottom Scratcher.

Trip Details:
Boarding: Friday evening, October 4, 2024, at 1900 hours
Departure: 2000 hours, heading to Santa Barbara Island
Return: Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2024
We still have a few spots left for this incredible trip, we are planning to get in ten dives! This trip is a limited load, maxing out at seventeen divers, ensuring a more personalized and enjoyable experience. Plus, all food and fills are included!

Things you need to know:

Cost: $595.00

Minimum required level of dive certification: Advanced Open Water.

License: A California sport fishing license, ocean enhancement validation, and a CDFW Spiny Lobster Report Card

Hunting Gear: A lobster bag, measuring device, and dive light are essential
