๐ฏ Unlock Your Next Level: Master Your Focus ๐ฏ
Ever feel like focus slips away when you need it most? True focus isnโt just tuning things out, itโs learning exactly what to tune in to. Being dialed in means shifting your attention to the right details at the right time.
One powerful way to train your focus? The concentration grid. ๐งฉ put theirs to the test, pushing their attention to new limits.
Focus is a skill you can build. Strengthen it, and youโll be set to perform at your peak, no matter the distractions. Give it a try, and feel the difference! ๐ฅ

Yesterday the learned about self- awareness. The ability to master this is the key to understanding who we are and how we can change the way we react in and to situations that may arise on or off the field. As we expieremce these situations we are leanring and becoming more aware of how to regulate and manage our emotions that will eventually lead to a behavioral reponse or outcome. When we become proficient at being self-aware we develop a higher sense of situational awareness amd self-control.
You must be in control of yourself and your emotions before you can control your performance. To do this you must have frameworks and systems in place.
was taught the framework of the signal light internal traffic system to quiclkly identify where an individual is mentally and physically at during their performance or in any given situation.
๐ด - out of control - stop and evaluate
๐ก - losing control - slow down and assess
๐ข - In control - keep going
This system will allow the invidual to know where they are at and put the right strategies and tools in place to regain control.
Just like when driving, obey the traffic signal rules and stay out of accidents!! If you run a red light it might cause you to crash and could be fatal to your performance.

The last two weeks have been spent with , forming the identity of this year's team while up holding the standards of the MSJC baseball program.
Today, the team took a run up the Mt. Rubidoux hiking trail followed by some quality time breaking bread with each other at Chic-fil-a. The mornings runs at Mt. Rubidoux are my favorite to be a part of and watch from a sports psychology perspective.
The anxious and nervousness of some before we start. Some with the self-doubt of completing the task. Even some are overconfident. But when the task is completed, you see the growth of individuals and the team right before your eyes.
They finish with more confidence, less anxious, and some even get humbled and finish with humility. But most importantly, how to manage all those different things a TEAM!
If individuals and collectively as a team, you really want to "Get comfortable being uncomfortable," then you have to get them to do uncomfortable tasks.
The best part of this is to see this many guys show up to a voluntary run. It lets us know as coaches what we are working with. The message to the team is always, "If you want extraordinary results, then it's going to take extraordinary effort" physically and mentally.
Laying the foundation of the team culture one brick at a time!! ๐ฆ

Staying present during a slump in your sport can be challenging but important.
One approach is to focus on the process rather than the outcome, staying in the moment, and maintaining a positive mindset.
This involves focusing on one play at a time, practicing mindfulness techniques, self-talk, anchors, visualization and staying confident in your abilities.
Additionally, seeking support from coaches, teammates, and mental performance professionals can be beneficial for managing the mental aspect of a slump.
So look for strategies that will assist you in coping with this things. If your not sure what to do, contact one of your Quest Mental Performance consultants. We would love to help you develop a plan.
