Friends Fly Together! After racing in the 100 butterfly, Annie and Sarah still find the time to hug it out!

Fun weekend of racing at Splash and Dash! Congrats to all of our winners, Finalists, and racers!

We would like to introduce Coach Justin!
You may have heard from your swimmers that we have a new face/coach on deck for the summer. Say hi to Coach Justin if you get a chance!

SWIMMING: Coach Justin has been swimming since he was 7. He started out swimming with First Colony Swim Team in the suburbs of Houston. Once he was 13, he transitioned into a high school only swimmer. There he was All-District for 4 years, All-Region for 3 years, and All-State for 2 years. He has medaled at state with his 200 Free relay.

COACHING: Coach Justin has been coaching since he was 16. He started out as a swim instructor, teaching kids between the ages of 5-13 how to swim. During high school, he would also run the dry land program for his high school team, as well as coordinate the strength and conditioning program during the off season. He also coached for a summer league team for 3 years, where they have gone undefeated for all 3.

Coach Justin is a big believer in dry lands and technique. Having been lucky enough to have done drylands with Markell Lyng, the strength and conditioning coach who was part of the team that coached Simone Manuel, he has seen first hand how important dry lands is to swimming.

He also believes that through mental fortitude, you can achieve anything.

He is looking forward to working with everyone and making everyone a better version of themselves.

We want to give a big congratulations to our very own Boone Koupal. Boone swam at the Cincinnati Para Swim Meet this past weekend, winning events and showing off his talent!

WAG MAX photos part 2! We hope everyone is starting to feel recovered from a weekend of racing. We want to give a BOATLOAD OF THANKS to our families that helped make our WAG Max meet a huge success! We received a lot of praise from the leaders of our LSC, the coaches, and parents for the way we operated this event. With 915 total swimmer entries, after the meet it was stated that not only was this the largest SI age group meet since the start of COVID, but it was possibly the largest one EVER! We know running this meet was very tough, but you efforts were well worth it and will contribute to the future success of our team.

Photos have been uploaded to google docs. An email has been sent out via teamU. Please request access if you would like to see these photos!

What an amazing experience our Elite, Seniors, and IDVA had this morning! Olympic swimmer Artyom Machekin did a sprint clinic with our swimmers working on technique and the skills needed for more powerful starts, faster turns, and an improve stroke in the water to maximize our swimmers ability to swim faster! The kids definitely appreciated the kind words and knowledge you provided. Good luck at Worlds and thank you!
