This 1929-31 electric motor clock needed a very thorough cleaning and repair to a pivot to realign the gears.

Quick little job that came in. The alarm clock would only last 3-6 hours before stopping.
Got the alarm clock movement out examined and all it needed was an oiling.

Replaced the battery housing on a Seiko music in motion wall clock.

Father bought this for his son to enjoy only to find out that the case and movement were heavily water damaged.
The case was replaced as seen with the old one on the left with a great condition similar style case. The frame ( bird, rabbit oak leaves)was transferred over.
New bellows were installed on the rotted out ones along with new dial, hands and chains.
Only original parts are the movement, frame, whistles and weights.

Additional time was needed to sort out a stopping issue that shifted a part into locking up the gear.
Additional information was given about future care the clock may need. Primarily wear that may need sorting in the future if new problems occur.

The music unit of the cuckoo clock underwent extensive restoration, involving full disassembly, thorough cleaning, and precise replacement of the worn-out fan governing section. This intricate process was complicated by the need to modify newer fan units through drilling, filing, and cutting to ensure compatibility with the older music assembly's mounting base.

Changing the batteries is important as leaked acid will corrode and damage the connections.
Typically the cost effective fix is replacing the movement with a new one that fits the clock case.

What a teardown of a kitchen clock movements can look like. Yes, all the pieces have to go in the correct spot but also the 100 years of wear and tear also has to be repaired first, for the clock to run properly.
