What a weekend for TX Hustle 14U.

🔥 Saturday: The boys exploded for 8 runs in the 3rd inning on the way to a 14–5 win. Big swings and big moments from the lineup set the tone early!

💥 Sunday: Down 8–1 in the 3rd, TX Hustle kept grinding. Pitch by pitch. The comeback was on and TX Hustle fought their way back to tie the game 8-8.

In extra innings, California rules, the Outlaws scored at the top of the sixth, bringing the game to 8-9, but TX Hustle never wavered. In true Hustle fashion, they battled and came back to seal a 10–9 victory.

Today, the TX Hustle Baseball family pauses to honor the life of a man who meant so much to the Coastal Bend baseball community, Roderick “Roddy” James Garza.

Roddy wasn’t just an umpire - he was a mentor, a friend, and the kind of person whose presence made every field feel a little lighter. His passion for the game led him to umpiring, where he poured countless hours into supporting youth baseball, talking with coaches and parents, and encouraging every player who crossed his path.

His impact reached far beyond baseball, and his absence will be felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

To Roddy’s family and loved ones: our hearts, love, and prayers are with you. His legacy will live on in every young athlete he inspired and every life he brightened along the way.

Rest in peace, Roddy. You will be missed, but never forgotten. ⚾💙

Being a part of Miracle League of Corpus Christi has been the biggest blessing and gift for every single TX Hustle player and parent. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to spend days with these incredible athletes. What a joy!
