PBOC is a sustainable operation. During high winds we switch from battery powered robo duck decoys to wind powered. Reducing our AA battery usage and freeing up precious funds for libations and other refreshments.

Decent hunt Sat afternoon. The weather and the ducks have both been difficult this year so this was much needed.

Ducks finally showed up in our neck of the woods. Better late than never. Even the pintails were out in force in the city limits right off the road.

Had 2 guys set up in shin deep water using rather unconventional hunting methods for these parts. But they had a fine shoot and easy limits, was fun watching them. We clipped a scaup that sailed into their spread and promptly died. They were nice enough to bring us the bird at sunset.

PBOC has been quiet but things will pick up over the holidays.

Shout out to Kelly Harlan for his generous donation of a mini fridge to the PBOC. It will be put to good use. And we sightcasted a nice redfish last weekend.

Last few weeks have been a little slow. But the time spent has definitely been quality. Managed to put a few birds in the freezer for the wall.
