This rockstar team placed 11th overall and 5th place Corinthian in the World Championships! Day 5 was lighter breeze and we sailed our best day posting a 6th and 13th. Everything about Corpus was epic: the breeze, the waves, the competition and of course the heat; and this team shined while sailing safe, smart and consistent. Thank you and for an incredible experience. We learned so much from the incredible community of sailors down here, many of whom are the best in the world!

Day 4 was awesome! Similar conditions with big breeze and waves. The team was dialed in and had great downwind runs, no mistakes and smart decisions. We posted up a 9 and 11 finish and are going into the final day focused and excited about the work this team has put in this week. 2 more races today with moderating conditions, may even see the Genoa go up.

Day 3! Epic conditions with breeze up to 30 and major chop. HOTD keeps pounding and through up our first top 10 photo finish battling with our friends on ! Sitting in 12th going into the last 2 days, it’s time to turn it up! Let’s go!

Corpus Christi does not mess around! 20-30 knots yesterday with huge waves. We battled and managed to keep our keel in the water (some did not 😬) and in the top pack of boats. Left day 2 with the same exact score as day 1 add a few more bruises. Moved up to 12th overall! 🤙💨⛵️

We had an awesome first day at worlds! Finishing 12th and 18th, we sailed conservative but smart and west able to stay in touch with the top pack of boats. The racing is tough, breeze consistent and waves brutal; everyone is working really hard but finished the day with smiles (and a trip to west marine, the boat’s working hard too).

Day 1 of J/24 worlds! Hair of the Dog team is ready! put on a great opening party on the beach last night!!

Sunday was practice race day and HoTD is all measured, bow numbers on and launched for the week. We even practiced skying a halyard and topping lift…

Thursday we spent the day getting officially measured in. Each boat is nearly identical to make sure the racing is fair as possible. The boat and gear was weighed and various appendages measured.

Hair of the Dog has arrived at Corpus Christi YC for the J24 World Championship on Wednesday! 36 hours of driving done and now making preparations for day 1 of racing Monday.
