A nonprofit corporation that promotes water-oriented activities, recreational boating, one-design & offshore racing, social cruising & education instruction.

On February 22, 1986 twenty-five enthusiastic yachtsmen met at the Sun Galley Room at Anchor Resort to take the first steps to organize a yacht club on North Padre Island. The idea was the brainchild of Gene Koch and Greg Aurre following an impromptu New Year’s Day regatta. General information

Boating directions for PIYC: Follow the ICW headed south beneath the JFK Causeway. Approximately 1/2 mile south of the 555 Mile Marker on the ICW, you'll see a well marked channel to the East (don't cut the corner--be well into the channel making the turn!); the first building you come to on your left is the PIYC Club House. The guest docks are right up front.
