🎓✨ ¡Felicidades, Dr. Samuel Alcorta Jr.! ✨🎓
Alcorta’s Folklórico Diamante proudly congratulates our Artistic Director, Samuel Alcorta Jr., on receiving the distinguished title of Doctor Honoris Causa, presented by the Claustro Doctoral de las Bellas Artes y Humanidades during its Ceremonia de Investidura Doctoral in Los Angeles, California.
This honorary distinction recognizes his trajectory and significant contributions to the arts and humanities, including a lifetime dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and elevation of Mexican folklórico dance through artistic leadership, cultural education, mentorship, and service.
Having begun dancing at just three years old, Samuel has spent nearly three decades carrying forward the vision of Alcorta’s Folklórico Diamante and sharing our traditions with generations of dancers and audiences throughout the United States and Mexico.
As we celebrate our 30th Anniversary Season, this recognition holds an especially meaningful place in the history of our organization.
Congratulations, Dr. Samuel Alcorta Jr., on this well-deserved honor! Your folklórico family is incredibly proud of you. 🎓✨🇲🇽
