🔹 ABSOLUTE Z (Zefyr x Kings Poco Blackburn) was bred by Christianna Schuckman and is owned by Laura Koch. This black gelding will be shown by trainer Jody Strand of Strand's Arabian Stables.

Zefyr (Sundance Kid V x Pattrice) has definitely made his hoof print in the Western Pleasure division! He is a multi-National Champion in the Open, as well as winning at Youth Nationals and earning multiple Top Tens with his owner Laura Koch in the AAOTR Jackpot and 55 & Over classes.

Zefyr will now be standing at Pine Ridge Arabians - Arabian Horses in Corrales, New Mexico under the excellent care of Gary & Karen Dearth. Both Purebred and Half-Arabian breedings will be offered in the AWPA Auction March 7-12.

Mare owners breeding to him in 2019 will have the opportunity to nominate their in-utero foals to be eligible for the 2024 AWPA Futurities. In addition, they will be eligible for the Maturity class at Canadian Nationals in 2024 and 2025.

The 2019 nomination also allows foals born in 2015 to be eligible for the AWPA Futurities at U.S. Nationals, and foals born in 2014 and 2015 to be eligible for the Maturity classes at Canadian Nationals.

Youth Nationals ended on a high note with Ava winning a National Championship in Western Seat Equitation W/J!! CONGRATULATIONS to Ava and her very supportive mom, Kim!! We're very proud of Ava!!!

Busy day for our youth riders! Ava was awesome starting the day with a Top 16 on her western horse. She later was Top Ten on her H/A Country horse, then made a quick change back to western for a Top 16 in horsemanship. She was a star for sure! Another of our 10 and under stars rode his western pleasure horse Maximum PR (bred by Pine Ridge Arabians) to a Top 16 today. Way to go Justin! Kristin rode Kersplash PR (bred by Pine Ridge) to a Top Ten in H/A Western Pleasure 14-18. Yesterday she rode Skyy King to a Top 16 in H/A Show Hack 14-18. Great rides Kristin! Congratulations Ava, Justin and Kristin!!!

The Region 7 Championship Show was very exciting! There were many new stars as well as past National Champions competing this year. It was the first time away from home for most of our show string, and they all won a Top Five or better. Many thanks to the Region 7 show committee, it was a great show!

Our 2013 show season started last weekend with some very exciting young horses! Looking forward to Region 7!
