EXPLOSIVENESS IS BUILT—NOT JUST BORN. ⚡️
Young athletes don’t need to wait until high school to begin strength training. Current research continues to show that properly coached, age-appropriate resistance training can safely improve strength, speed, power, balance, coordination, and overall athletic performance.
Starting early doesn’t mean lifting extremely heavy weights.
It means developing the foundation:
• Learning how to squat, hinge, push, pull, jump, and land
• Building strong, stable movement patterns
• Improving body control and coordination
• Gradually adding resistance
• Learning to produce force quickly and explosively
Foundational strength gives athletes the ability to create force. Explosive training teaches them to apply that force quickly—the combination they need to sprint faster, jump higher, change direction, and compete more physically.
The goal isn’t to create the strongest 10-year-old in the room. The goal is to build a durable, confident athlete who will be prepared to perform at a higher level as they grow.
Start early. Master the basics. Build strength. Then teach them to move with speed and intent
