Third time is a charm they say…

Apparently Katniss Everclean learned absolutely nothing from last week’s incident because I walked into the studio today and found this disaster. Actually, I got a warning about her being stuck last night and just knew what happened. Checked the camera…yep. Pothos down.

Plant stand sideways, Pothos dragged across the floor. Dirt everywhere. Vines wound around the brush so tightly I had to cut them out.

And Katniss? Just sitting there (stuck AGAIN) at the scene of the crime like, “Something happened.”

YOU. You happened.

And before anyone tries to defend her, this is actually her THIRD assault on this poor pothos. I gave her grace the first time because she was new, still training, and I hadn’t set up any cleaning restrictions yet.

Last week there was an existing “no clean zone” boundary/restraining order set. She clearly ignored that, but she did ask me to clean the sensors twice. I accepted that her navigation was off due to my negligence. Friday I removed all the hair, refilled water tanks, cleaned all the sensors, and even washed the mop pads and dock. I thought we were good. WRONG!

She violated the pothos restraining order… Again.

So we are officially upgrading the charges from pothos harassment to full-blown pothos assault. 🌿⚠️

Katniss is on her second written warning and the pothos got a MAJOR haircut today because frankly, I’m done with both of their s**t. I would just like to come into the studio without having to investigate another botanical crime scene.

😂 Nathan was kind enough to help me with this mess. I also found the live recording of this incident and we’ve all been laughing about it today. I’m redoing the restricted area and there is no longer anything for her to grab onto. Now to keep an eye on my other plants!

Thank you to everyone that joined us for some cat yoga this evening and all the wonderful volunteers at Kentuckiana Cat Rescue that prepared the kitties and the space for class.

It was a little chaotic and a whole lot of adorable with plenty of zen. These cats had a blast joining you all on the mats!

I walked into the studio this morning to find a crime scene.

Katniss Everclean had somehow crossed her clearly established NO CLEAN ZONE and picked a fight with the pothos.

In Katniss’s defense, she did have the decency to realize she’d made a terrible mistake, stop immediately, and send me a notification that she was stuck. Her predecessor, Eva, once grabbed this SAME pothos and dragged it across the floor while I watched in horror. So honestly… I’m starting to think the pothos may not be entirely innocent either. 🤨🌿

Katniss has since had her sensors cleaned. She DID alert me to clean the sensors twice now which I had planned to do TODAY before this nonsense. While at it I removed the insane amount of hair from her undercarriage, refilled and emptied her tanks, cleaned the mop pads, and had a firm talking to.

The pothos is getting a haircut tomorrow. Everyone involved needs to think about what they’ve done. Unfortunately, I’m also going to have to write Katniss up for violating a clearly established No-Clean Zone. This will be going in her permanent employee file. 😂🌿🤖

A huge thank you to Hess Family Farms for welcoming us and sharing their absolutely beautiful space. Practicing yoga surrounded by 20+ acres of sunflowers was pretty incredible! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Thank you to everyone who came out and didn’t let the heat deter you from spending the evening with me! I definitely have to thank Nathan for all of his help and support throughout the evening too.

☀️ It was such a beautiful setting for yoga, connection, and a little time outdoors. Did you see that sunset!?

A special thank you to Girl Scout Troop 153 for letting me lead you through a fun pollinator-themed yoga class! 🐝🦋🌻 We moved and learned about some of the important little creatures that help our world bloom just like you do.

This was such a wonderful experience, and I’d love to bring Breathe & Bloom back to the sunflower fields again in the future (without the heatwave). 🌻 🧘‍♀️

Our yoga among the sunflowers event is THIS THURSDAY!! Have you gotten your tickets yet?

🌻 A Few Things to Know Before You Go 🌻

Bring a yoga mat or large towel and a water bottle. Since we’ll be practicing outdoors, don’t forget your sunscreen, and you may also want a hat and sunglasses. Bug spray is recommended too.

And yes, there are bees enjoying the sunflowers too 🐝 — but they were happily minding their own business when we walked through the beautiful sunflower paths today.

We are meeting at the farm. As you arrive, look for sunflower sign by the road. Parking is in the gravel lot in front of the barn. Our class area is a little walk from the parking barn, so please plan to arrive a few minutes early to make your way out to the field. Google will give you a different address (their personal home just up the road) so use the address on the flyer. I’ll have a studio sign by the road too.

Please check in with me (Jen) when you arrive! If you plan to register in person please arrive early to create an account and sign the waiver if you’re new to True You Yoga.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! There’s so many beautiful photo ops!

It’s going to be a hot one, but we hope to have a little bit of shade and hopefully a breeze! We’ll also have water available to help keep everyone cool and hydrated.
