Pass or Fail? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fear.
Embarrassment.
Cringe.

I felt it all.

Most people don’t even start
because they’re afraid of being seen trying.

Afraid of losing.
Afraid of looking unprepared.
Afraid of having their cringe moment in public.

That was my real fear stepping onto the mat.

And then it happened.

Loss by submission.
My nervous system maxed out its capacity.

And yet — my friends and family were proud.

Proud I walked onto the mat.
Proud I competed for the first time.
Proud I risked it.

Because sometimes winning isn’t dominating.

Sometimes it’s choosing to risk embarrassment —
to live through your cringe moment —
instead of choosing comfort.

When leaders step into a new program, most attention goes to ex*****on.

Plans. Timelines. Deliverables. Risk.

But influence doesn’t come from the plan alone.
It comes from how you integrate into the system executing it.

A relational strategy asks different questions:
How will you get to know the people behind the work?
How they think, communicate, decide, and influence one another?
Who carries trust in the room — regardless of title?
What story brought this team and this program to where it is today?

This isn’t “soft.”
It’s intentional system design — with humans at the center.
