300th prone paddle milestone! Since April 2024 I’ve paddled 537 hours for a total of 2021.57 miles. I’m grateful for the Wet Wednesdays crew and the awesome Prone to Paddle friends and I’ve made. Special thanks to Mikey at VESL PADDLE BOARDS.

Our new favorite Maine summer activity: going clamming! 🌊
You have to plan it around the tides so you can head out at low tide and dig for the clams. We’ve been paddle boarding out to our favorite spot in Scarborough and all you need is a paddle board or kayak, a clamming permit + some gear and you’re all set!
There’s something SO satisfying about digging up fresh clams and bringing them home to make for dinner. Our favorite way is super simple - steam them for about 8 minutes and serve with melted butter. So easy and SO good! Tag me if you try it!

Today we honor the life, sacrifice, and legacy of Ben Carlson. Ben embodied courage, selflessness, and service above self, and his example continues to inspire our program and community.
In his memory, our JGs participated in the commemorative Pier-Wedge-Pier event, the same event Ben loved to do with his JGs as an instructor. More than a physical challenge, it is an opportunity for our kids to carry forward the values Ben lived every day: teamwork, perseverance, and putting others first.
