I’m super excited to teach this workshop addressing back and hip pain with Pilates 💜(JUNE 3)

Pilates (the man) utilized his method to treat dancers, boxers, opera singers and everyday folks who had various ailments during the pre-physical therapy days (1930-1940ish). Pilates invented machines such as the Reformer, the Cadillac, the ladder Barrel and the Wunda chair to address weaknesses he observed in his clientele. He also used breath and intuition. We will explore purposeful exercises to better integrate the entire body system to address common vulnerabilities is the body.

I recently did a breath workshop with Jill Miller and Katy Bowman which was fantastic! I mention this because breath-work in Pilates today is often overlooked. We will explore some lovely techniques to facilitate Pilates sessions (I use them with my pro athletes and find them so useful)
