Rock on Higgy! I remember the day you walked through the gym doors like it was yesterday. I knew the day would come I would get to see you play at the highest level in person. Thank you for your loyalty, hard work, friendship and years of banter! @ Costa Mesa, California

Had the opportunity to visit this last weekend. Loved the matter of fact, science based approach of the training and facility. Thank you again for your hospitality
With spring training upon us, I wanted to share some work we did with this off-season. Mark had season ending knee surgery at the end of the 2018 campaign. The procedure is known as “OATS” which is a form of cartilage transfer surgery. We tried to continue with and progress from the feedback and exercise prescription provided to us from his Nashville and Baltimore based therapists. For the most part we did unilateral and bilateral isometric lower body work in varying un-loaded lunge and squat positions. WeI varied up the depth of the movements, making sure that the hip, knee and ankle were in the appropriate tracking position (alignment), Using the vibration platform quite a bit to increase the difficulty of the movements and to help facilitate some hypertrophy. As he continued to progress we started to incorporate some assisted single leg kettle bell deadlifts and some low level step ups focusing on the tracking of knee/hip/ankle. We also used a power band as a kinesthetic cue to encourage proper knee position/glute activation. It truly was a great learning experience and Mark is well on his way to a speedy full recovery.
