In 2019 I walked into AOJ and I showed up to class nearly every week for 3 to 10 hrs without a break. I didn’t care how my body felt when I woke up, I didn’t care if I barely slept the night before, I didn’t care how much work I had to do that day and didn’t care if I had/have any nagging injuries… I just kept the deterring voices in my head very quiet and did the best I could.
I tell my kids and the athletes at ECWC, if you have a dream or something you want to accomplish, you have to put your head down and work. The Discipline to get up every day, the Consistency to maintain it and the Hard Work to give your best effort on that given day will lead you to accomplish amazing things. Everyone is capable of doing extraordinary things. I’m blessed with the vantage point to witness these accomplishments every single day of my life from ordinary people that are willing to work hard day after day and rise to greatness.
Thank you to my family and all of the great people who make-up my small world and inspire me every day to drag my butt out of bed. Thank you to all of the professors and my training partners over the last 6 1/2 years for your guidance. It truly is a special place to experience this Art.

Max finished up his sophomore sports year in baseball. He works his ass off every week to put himself in a position to help his team win ball games. Thank you to all of his coaches for choosing him as Player of the Year in both Baseball and Football.
I’m excited to see what he will accomplish as an upper class-man. He’s already back in football and getting ready to be an impactful player on both offense and defense in the Fall.
I’m beyond proud of everything he has done up to this point. The next 2 years will be a lot of fun.
Love you buddy
Dad

Max wrapped up his sophomore football season at Corona Del Mar H.S. with a lot of great moments to build on.
He wore many hats this season playing Inside Linebacker, Outside Linebacker, Runningback, H-Back & Tight End on JV and played Special Teams and some Runningback on Varsity.
During the season, he played both sides of the ball and wherever the team needed him on Thursday’s for JV (week to week) due to his teammate’s injuries.
He would play on Varsity the very next day every Friday, and would fight to earn a starting role on Special Teams throughout the season. He always plays with heart and takes extreme pride in helping his team win on every down. To say I am proud would be a huge understatement. Go Max!
This season he earned
🏈Varsity Special Teams Player of the Week
🏈His Varsity Certificate Letter
🏈JV Most Valuable Player Award

So proud of this kid. When everyone else is sitting at home, he is at the gym training his ass off all weekend. When he leaves football practice during the week, he heads over to the gym to wrestle for an hour to keep his skills sharp.
He is a true sophomore at 15 yrs old and has busted his ass so much during the season on JV and on scout team at practice. Enough to earn a spot on the Kickoff and Punt Return teams. He knows that every single chance he steps on the field is an opportunity to increase his playing time and always leaves his heart on the field.
This week he finished with 3 Special Teams tackles on Kick off and earned the Varsity Player of the Week! Congrats ! Never stop playing with ♥️, never stop working your ass off. Love Dad

An amazing result for our wrestling team at Newport Harbor. These kids have been working hard over the last year to turn the program around and put themselves on the state and national map. This is the first big folk style tournament of the season, and the team shined with:
🥇Anthony Manno
⭐️6 Medalists (Top 8)
🔟th out of the 245 teams
Congrats to all of the Athletes and their hard work paying off
Congrats to all of the great coaches and role models in their lives that push and support them to make their dreams and reality. This is only the beginning of great things to come!

I just came here to say that the best things in my life have come to me through hard work, sacrifice and discipline. I’ve suffered greatly throughout my life in so many ways. But mostly all those struggles have lead me to the absolute best people in my life… and aside from the skills and strengths that I’ve acquired along the way, nothing beats the deep and meaningful relationships that I have formed in the wake of those struggles.
Thank you to everyone in my life that has continued to inspire and challenge me to push hard every day to become a better version of myself. Today marks another milestone.
🍫🟫Thanks for the chocolate on V-Day
