Robots, Mead, and a birthday party? Let’s go! Join us today at in Anaheim as we kick off our 2026 season of fighting robots at SCAR. This event is free to attend and open to all ages, we ask that all children under 18 be under adult supervision. Fights start in just a bit!

We are excited to partner once again with Honey Pot Meadery to kick off our 2026 year with "Clash at the Comb," our 150g and 1lb Full Combat tournament. Spots filled for this event filled so quickly that we added even more slots in the bracket, and have a strong waitlist now as well. This will be our 4th event at Honey Pot Meadery, and each event keeps getting bigger and better. Join us on February 7th for a day of robot combat, delicious mead, activities, and more!

Seven years ago, we set out on a journey fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a love for doing things a little differently. Since then, we’ve explored new flavors, pushed boundaries, weathered storms, and built something truly special alongside this community.

On Saturday, February 7th, we invite you to join us for our 7th Anniversary Celebration, themed around a voyage across the Seven Seas — a full-day adventure packed with battles, bottles, food, music, and a few legendary treasures along the way.

This isn’t just an anniversary — it’s a celebration of every experiment, every flavor, every shared glass, and every person who’s been part of the journey. So grab your crew, chart your course, and set sail with us. We look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Next up we are recognizing the “Most Innovative” robot of 2025, Persistence of Memory. Persistence of Memory (or, “PoM”) is a two-wheel drive “Melty Brain” robot, which means that the robot is still able to be controlled even while the entire robot is spinning at nearly 2000 rpm. What also separates it from a traditional spinner, who normally spin 6-8lb bars or blades in this weight class, is the fact that behind each hit is the entire 30lb of the robot. As a result, PoM has put out some of the biggest hits we’ve ever seen at SCAR!

A big congratulations to PoM and its builder, Joey from the SCAR leadership team, for bringing this robot from concept to the arena in only a few months.

Happy new year, and welcome to 2026 for SCAR! We’re kicking off this year by recognizing our 2025 SCAR ALL-Stars: these awards are voted on by our competitors and community. This year we had some great strides made with our “big bots,” with a greater than 50% increase in total number of fights in the 12lb/30lb arena.

We will be posting our schedule for the first half of the year soon, but be ready for more combat carnage in SoCal soon!

Congratulations to Team High Energy Failures and their drum spinner HSS on winning the 30lb division at December to Dismember. Our next event will be hosted at SCAR HQ with 12lb and 30lb bots at SCAR HQ for "December to Dismember" on December 20th in Walnut, CA.

Today is the day! Join SCAR at Maker Faire: Orange County for a weekend of non-stop combat robot carnage. Over 120 robots are locked and ready at our largest competition of the year. Tickets for Maker Faire are linked in the profile.

Last year’s 12lb Hobbyweight champion, Whomper, is taking a nice vacation, so we are turning the spotlight to two champion-level robots: Full Court and Creature! These two bots both use articulating arms and configurable front ends to control their opponents despite their obvious size differences. Both these robots have also won the coveted Robot League National Championship (Full Court in ‘24, Creature in ‘25), and Full Court is looking to settle the score after not being able to slay Creature in their last four matches together. Will Full Court be able to dunk on Creature, or will Creature claw its way to the top again? We’ll find out at next weekend! Who do you think would win in this rematch? We are less than two weeks away from our biggest event of the year at Maker Faire: Orange County! With over 140 bots currently registered for this two day event there will be bot-on-bot carnage all day long. As we countdown to the event we will be highlighting notable robots like last year's champion: HS1. HS1 is built by Team Wedges and sports a spinning hammer saw, along with configurable front end attachments. HS1 will be going up against our largest 30lb field yet with 14 robots registered to compete. Tickets for the event are available on the Maker Faire website linked below:
